I had a delicious Ravioli with Rosa Sauce dish. It was perfect. The price is totally reasonable, and set along the street in La Recoleta, the people watching is great. I also had a banana shake, which was just delicious. You know they are using real bananas and dairy because it has that perfect mouthfeel, is just the right amount of creamy + sweet and was better than I had anticipated. Service is kind and prompt and even when all the tables were full, we still got attentive service. I gotta tell ya, I've been here twice and I'll be back again next time I visit BA.This place is THAT GOOD!!!

It's the oldest cafe in Buenos Aires and I liked the old school feel of it. We ordered a cafe con leche (latte), a tostada mixto (ham and cheese toastie sandwich), and a medialuna (smaller sweet croissant pastry). The portions were large so definitely shareable. The latte and the tostada mixto were good. Service was good as well, faster than I expected (I'm from NYC where everything is fast haha). The reviews said service was slow which I did not experience but it could be that I came early in the morning so it wasn't busy.

In the evenings they do have live events so I would ask, and they do require a resy for those. The food arrived promptly and we dove in. The beau, a Caesar salad officianado, declared it was one of the best he's ever had! I bit into the sandwich which was savory and full of flavor and textures that made me swoon. The bread was light and crunchy, the fried egg runny, the bacon salty, and the sliced chicken tender. A perfect sandwich. It came with fries and a homemade tomato puree that was a million times better than ketchup. We were in ecstasy and it was only our first meal in this lovely city. We took two danish to go and ate them later at our apartment. Both were flaky and delicious with the perfect balance of sweet and savory.
