Though the address says it is on Getreidegasse, it is located down an alleyway off it. It is a longtime Salzburg confectionery as it was founded in 1880. The shop has a delectable selection of sweet treats, including pastries, cakes (individual and slices) and chocolates. They also serve coffee drinks and have a good amount of seating if you are dining in. I loved this place so much that I visited it twice in one day for breakfast and an evening dessert. Their hazelnut pastry is something I still crave and think about. And make sure to try their sacher torte if you love chocolate cakes. It is clear why this business has stood the test of time. I tried a few different bakeries, and must say that all of them are very good. It's rich but light, and none of them is over sweet. The owner is super friendly.
