From the moment we arrived, until we left - the experience was "magnifique!". The food was the perfect mix of inventive and classic... flavors were wonderful, and the display of each dish was a work of art. In addition the setting was so beautiful, an old stone barn updated to retain its charm. To top off our experience, we must mention that the service was exceptionally attentive. We were amazed at how nicely the restaurant handled our large table, and made sure the meal flowed smoothly. This restaurant now has one Michelin star, but I suspect they will soon get a second Michelin Star - and the warm and friendly couple who run Les Relais des Moines deserve all the praise.

Each course was not only beautiful but satisfyingly tasty. A trio of soups, garlic, mushroom, bean were a lovely beginning and then the meal progressed through salad, soup, seafood, pigeon, fish, sweets, and coffee. They deserve their Michelin star! We had the paired wine with each course and were very happy with the sommelier's choices. A white chateau Neuf du pap was particularly notable. You will not be disappointed! Booking essential.

As a drink we asked for a 'Casanis' ( on the menu, typical from the place) the waitress tells us that they do not serve it anymore as " patrons were not asking for it" without any word of apology. For the main dish the price of the 'tartare' is 2 euros more than the price on the menu. The waitress explains that the meat is a different one, still no apology. For desert I had noticed a 'croquant au 3 chocolats', well " we have not prepared it today" tells the waitress. I am not expecting anything anymore from her. The ice-cream ordered (3 pieces) as 2 coffee and 1 vanilla is served as 1 coffee and 2 vanilla, the 'crème brulee' does not have this crisp caramel on top that all crème-brulee-fan love... The meat is good and the restaurant nicely decorated, but if you are planning a nice diner, I recommend to look for another place.

Not knowing what to say and with two cars behind us, we decided to go with it. We had no idea we'd be dining on what felt like an endless amount of truffles for an extraordinarily reasonable price. In fact, before our trip to Provence, we paid over three times the amount charged here at a two Michelin star restaurant in Berlin. The food and service were not even half as good. The food and wine here were beyond excellent and the chef (grandson of the original chef and owner), also came around to greet and chat with the guests. While the chef and his brother (working the front of the house) speak English most of the staff do not. However, they were very effervescent and patient and made it work with hand gestures and some pointing. Highly recommended and worth a detour to visit this special place.

Situated in a valley of grapes and olive trees, up a gated entry with sculptures you feel liked you stepped back in time. The chef owner greeted us as we sat under a vine covered terrace. It was a busy Saturday lunch, please make reservations if you want to go here as it's a bit of a drive from st tropez. The food not only tasted amazing it looked beautiful. You want to chew slow and savor the bites as the plates are small but the food is rich and you don't need a lot. I never felt like I needed more. I only have amazing things to say and I would recommend it over and over again. Don't be afraid to ask for some adjustments if some items don't suit your tastes. Enjoy!
