Visited twice in two days. Always a line to sit inside as they don't take reservations. Inside is the charm although they have outdoor seating. Decorated from a time long ago with a laid back atmosphere. Open late -3 am. They offer a light Breakfast and some Tapas but the main draw is their Orange Liquor drink (Aqua de Valencia) as well Cocktails. Tea, Coffee and desserts are also options. First visit sat outside and had a Majou. Tasty local Lager. I was curious about the Grand Mariner coffee. Turns out it doesn't have Grand Mariner in it and so an orange aromatic coffee. Strong with a hint of Orange. I liked it. Second visit I ended up sitting inside as this Hostess said you have to have a party of 4 to sit outside. Different Hostess new rules. So I took a seat inside and ordered a Cappuccino and the recommended Chocolate Rum Cake. Dense cake with just a hint of Rum-delicious. Capp was also tasty. They only sell their Agua de Valencia by the Jarra (pitcher) so I got a shot to try which was a nice touch. Similar to a Mimosa but less bubbles. Since they weren't as busy & tables were open I ended up moving outside for a Beer. Service was hit or miss and can be slow depending on how busy they are. Once they got to you it was fine. Good spot to enjoy cocktails and gaze at the eclectic decor. read more

This place is pretty much mandatory if you're in Valencia. It's pricey, but definitely worth it for the drinks and the atmosphere, which feels a bit like an old timey cigar bar. Such a refreshing change of pace from the traditional Spanish bars, this little gem is full of opulent, over the top decor, fabulous old school chairs, deep velvet textures, and an amazing diva-tastic vibe. The cava is delicious, but the aqua de Valencia was not the best I've had in the city. There was only one bar tender, but you wouldn't know it. He was churning out drinks very quickly! This is one of my favorite bars in Valencia. The inside is awesome and unique. It's worth going to once just for that. It also had my favorite agua de Valencia. Drink that and a cider and you will have the perfect buz. It is a personal atmosphere and only somewhere I would go later at night. The cheese plate is also good to get with wine. This is a wonderfully eccentric avant-garde bar adorned with large floral arrangements. It's located in a small alley just off the Plaza de la Virgen, close to many tourist attractions. When you see this place from the outside you can not imagine the fantastic decor inside, it's like your in a baroque palace. They have amazing cocktails, of course they serve the famous Valencian cocktail Agua de Valencia, and this is one of the best places to drink one if you ask me. You can also enjoy the bohemian ambiance during one of their themed evenings. They serve wonderful teas and coffees and in the weekends between 11.00 and 18.00 you can enjoy an original brunch. Interesting change of pace for a early or late night drink. Very ornate decor provides curious backdrop for mostly delicious drinks. We stop there for Agua de la Valencia. Didn't know what it was but understood it to be the official drink of Valencia. Frankly just seemed like a oversized mimossa to me. Not that it was bad but I was sorry I didn't order some of the other more fascinating drinks I saw coming off the bar. A truly special place in the core of Valencia's old city. The interior is eccentric and fantastic and will make you feel like you are in a different time, sipping cocktails while watching fabulous people come in and out. I've been twice for the Agua de Valencia and once for coffee, and each time the staff was exceptionally nice, serving in English and Spanish. In the evenings it gets a bit more lively so it's good to meet a mix of people, but there are also some cozy tucked-away corners for one-on-one/romantic chatting. I have been to a lot of places but Café de las Horas will always stand out because of its unique vibe. Will definitely return whenever I am in the city. read more
