This small intimate neighborhood restaurant was located right around the corner from our small hotel and directly across the street from the vert gallant station. We stopped in for a late breakfast or brunch. However the meal of the day was couscous and a protein. We opted for couscous and chicken. I was disappointed with the previous ninth menu at another restaurant, but delighted when I saw the fresh food that came to our table. They served a small beginning meal of beef soup with plenty of fresh vegetables. Followed by a meal of couscous with currants and roasted chicken with fresh sausage. The food was delicious. With the exception of the couscous being very bland, we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Throughout our dinning we saw many people from the neighborhood stopping in to order food, play what seemed like numbers, order coffee, and just greet the owners and employees. Everyone was so polite, and welcoming. No one in the restaurant spoke English, but we were able to communicate because food and smiling is a part of the universal language. I wasn't a fan of the custard that we had for dessert, but all in all it was a great dining experience. read more
