On a cold, rainy day while visiting Luzern I stopped into Cafe Cesar for an afternoon snack. Only two other patrons were inside when I stopped in and a young woman behind the bar who spoke English quite well.
I ordered a coffee and a piece of black forest cake. Although I specifically asked for a filter coffee with milk, what I ended up with is a cappuccino, which I really do not care for - too much milk. The black forest cake was a bit stale as if it had been in the cooler from the day before. It also did not have much taste. So all in all, it was a bit of a disappointing visit.
The interior is cute. Small bistro tables and chairs as well as some window seating and tall stools at the bar. The space is small and if it were full, seating would be tight. There was a lot of outdoor seating but being a cold, rainy day that was out of the question. read more
