I had questions about the menu items and she took the time to bring me an English menu. The drill is - order a slice of cake at the display case & get a ticket, give the ticket to your waitress. She will get the cake and bring it to you along with drinks you order. Very efficient! Upstairs has a bigger red walled, table-service dining area with multiple rooms for meals. There was a salad bar I noticed too. I thought the waitress I encountered upstairs was gruff (since she told me to move out of her way). The Middelberg bakery ambiance was so much nicer downstairs...
