They have a large menu of beers, liquors, and cocktails, all very cheap, and they did not charge cover when we visited on a Thursday around 9:00 pm. The band was spectacular. They played a list of crowd pleasing covers and even took requests. Very fun place. We passed by late on a Saturday, and there was a huge line to get in, so we recommend coming during the early show on a weeknight - early for them is around 8-10 pm. Their website is great and lists the bands playing. I believe they have at least one if not two live acts every night of the week.

Most likely because it was an old church converted to a hall, but that definitely adds to it. The DJ played a lot of American music all types though, mostly top 40 and would put them to dance beats. I liked the DJ a lot. Be careful though, people from there have this thing where they just throw things. So every second there's probably a cup being thrown near you, don't be alarmed but It was a little weird though lol.

I believe there is always a cover, but if you buy online it's a bit cheaper. There are two dance floors and one lower level with lockers/bathrooms. Lockers were a super convenient option for all of our coats/jackets. We started out on the first floor, but once it got crowded, we moved up to the second floor which was smaller, but less people. You can still see the DJ and first floor because it's kind of like a balcony set up. There's also a bar up here and a smoking room. I'd recommend coming here for a night out! but the crowd was a little younger.

They've put some time and money into their sound system and they have killer guys on the audio decks. NICE work! The place feels like a tiny church inside, complete with stained glass windows (albeit with pictures of naked women and men). Bartenders are fast. The place is small so get there early to ensure you're right in the front. Great spot for a concert. Hook it up!

Place seemed to be filled with mostly Dutch-speaking people, didn't notice too many tourists here.

The awesome Amsterdam CM, Flip, brought us here for a quick drink and to "live like a local" before heading over to the Red Light District (more on that in another review!). It's located in a rather small street, and the space itself isn't too large...but it sure is "homey". I tried a couple of belgian beers and then something magical happened....the staff began passing around a plate of cheese and sausages (with some delicious mustard) for everyone to nibble on. No, they were not selling it...it was free! I was in shock..this doesn't happen in the bars I go to. The cheese was delicious and the sausages as well but when you dip it into the mustard it kicks it up a notch. They also had wine available (the wife said it was good! Good enough to warm you up that's for sure, as it was FREEZING outside, by our standards.) It seemed like every single person that walked in was greeted with hugs (and three kisses? I love that little touch they put on their greetings. Not one kiss like my Hispanic folks, not two kisses like the French, but THREE kisses, cheek to cheek). This certainly felt like the bar where EVERYONE knows your name!

We sat by the bar and had several drinks, there waS a DJ setting up but the current playlist was being done by the bartender on his laptop.....the playlist included local/ european artists and some unknown. They don't take requests but somehow it was known I was from NYC and finally, I was able to get out of my seat and rock with it....that lasted a few minutes. The DJ was on and spinning.... unknown beats. I was there to dance and sway, mostly locals were there for drinks and chatting. After 4 hours, I gave up. The fact that you can smoke both cigs and pot after 1am was a big motivator to leave. So disappointed. Not worth the walk in the rain. Not worth all your clothes reeking of cigarette smoke.
