I almost walked past the entrance from the street. They have a few different areas one could find a seat - every place had a covered ceiling so when it rains most every spot can be filled up. Lots of plants. I sat in the tiny room with the A/C with windows that faced the street - right behind the coffee bar. It kind of felt like I was inside a treehouse - it was nice to be there when it was raining outside. It was really peaceful I wish I had brought a book or my journal with me that day. When you walk inside through the glass doors, turn to your right and walk towards the coffee bar that looks like you're in a kitchen workspace. This is normal as this is where you will place your order. After you order, you can find your seat and it will be brought out to you. The entire space gives a semi-modernized artsy atmosphere. There is a larger space with sofa, accent chairs and tables near a bookshelf filled with different bags of coffee you could purchase as well as various coffee tools and accessories. They have more indoor/outdoor seating down the corridor you walk down when you first turn in from the street as well. Since I love espressos, I had to try the espresso tasting where they give you one small cup and one larger cup of espresso - both brewed the same way, just presented differently. Stir the smaller cup fast with the spoon and slower with the bigger cup. When you taste them, you will notice a difference as one will be more bitter and the other will have that fuller taste. I preferred the smaller cup as it had more of that dark espresso flavor. The staff are super friendly. There was someone there who helped me decide what to order and explained to me how to drink it when he had brought it out. It was also helpful that he knew a little bit of English. I wish I had came here more than just one time and I regret not buying a couple bags of coffee as the packaging is what drew me to the merch, but I was already overflowing with items in my suitcase.

The restaurant is also very good with lots of nice choices. I've noticed that the portion sizes have increased since they first opened, which was my former reason for not eating here often. Levei uma jornalista do principal jornal de Economia e Finanças do Brasil, que inclusive escreve sobre franquias e empreendedorismo, e a CEO de uma grande empresa global para se conhecerem e conversarem sobre assuntos do setor. Tomamos cafés, comemos pães de queijo, tudo muito saboroso, contudo, às 15:55, quando estávamos encerrando o encontro, a jornalista precisou ir ao banheiro e tentou abrir a porta do toilet, mas estava fechada. Importante ressaltar que fazia muito tempo que não víamos alguém sequer entrar no banheiro. Além disso, dava para ver por baixo da porta que a luz estava apagada e não acendia, ou seja, ninguém se movimentava dentro do banheiro. Ou seja, achamos muito estranho ou que estava vazio ou que a porta tivesse travado por algum motivo. De qualquer maneira, esperamos mais 5 minutos e resolvemos bater na porta novamente. Quando fizemos isso, um funcionário de vocês, do Sofá Café, um moço moreno, bem alto e forte, vestido de branco, abriu a porta extremamente bravo e agressivo e falou em alto e bom som para todos na loja ouvirem "Qual parte de está ocupado vocês não entenderam?". Tentei explicar que achamos que alguém tivesse trancado por engano, mas o funcionário estava extremamente bravo e ficamos com muito medo, inclusive, dele vir nos agredir, pois ele estava realmente muito agressivo. Infelizmente, não esperava esse tipo de atendimento, pois já havíamos realizado outros encontros com a imprensa no local. Espero que tentem treinar melhor os funcionários, uma vez que não é sensato e, certamente, bom para os negócios tratar os clientes dessa maneira. Por mais que o funcionário tenha se sentido irritado, nada justifica a agressividade, deselegância e falta de educação que fomos tratados. Obrigado e , infelizmente, foi a última vez que indicaremos o local ou frequentaremos com clientes, apesar dos produtos de vocês serem muito bons.

They have a varied menu with lots of healthy options including accommodating gluten free or vegetarian friends. The star of this location is the very clever giant umbrella which covers the entire patio of more than 12 tables. The umbrella can be retracted making for a great outdoor atmosphere in any weather. At night they light up the patio with romantic tiki torches. Fresh fruit juices and creative coffees in the daylight give way to creative cocktails and sangrias as the day goes on. They will usually serve you their awesome eggs Benedict any time of the day even if they're no longer cooking off the breakfast menu. It's one of the better places to enjoy a poached egg in the city. They also have some more locally inspired brunch options. The salads and wrap sandwiches are not quite as gourmet as the prices would lead you to believe, but the atmosphere generally makes up for it. In the past I had some issues with service being slow and forgetful, but they've changed the waitstaff lineup and since then I've had a great time. They often have someone who can speak English if needed. The patio space is dog friendly. And the downstairs of the indoor space has super comfy seating for a chat over coffee or relaxing drink after work.
