Another happy happenstance spot on our trip to Napoli. Stopped for a drink, had no idea this small local chain is a Neapolitan tradition. One can even buy the Passalacqua brand coffee in local stores,
Ordered 2 draft beer (Forst on tap), €6 each which is a bit pricey but not unusually so. Ended up with 4 wedges of pizza and 3 bags of chips as well. If this is aperitif culture, who needs dinner? Have since experienced something similar, but not as generous. Maybe it's just the Vomero neighbourhood?
Returned to have coffee and pastries. The coffee is lovely, smooth, not harsh like some. Decaf is available, again not unusual, but appreciated nonetheless. Beautiful fresh sfogliatella. Happy sigh!
Felt relaxed and welcome here. Friendly service, nice neighbourhood, very close to the Montesanto funicular and connection to regional trains, which is very convenient. Can't wait to come back next time. read more
