Just to get out of the whole jet lag situation, we immediately came here and it was just buzzing. It was early spring in Bavaria, with a lot of people sitting outside and drinking coffee here. I know what you are thinking!! Early spring/? Bavaria? Shouldn't we be drinking some really nice Weihenstephan up on the mountain in the world's oldest brewery? I agree but drinking Beer after a 16 hour flight to combat jet lag would not be the proper if we wanted to stay awake and that is where Junker's comes in. Probably one of my top 5 or 6 coffee shops in the world but if you want to add a nibble to your coffee then I would rate this place among my top 3. For the first time ever, I had a Cafe Bombon which was awesome and completely took my jet lag away. Next day we went there again, this time for Breakfast and Coffee and the yogurt they gave was easily the best Yogurt I EVER tasted in my life. The only negative for me was they open at like 10AM or so and close by 5PM or so. I am giving this review anyway on Yelp although there are not that many reviews on Yelp in Europe. One interesting thing I found here was they serve coffee made from beans from India. While I personally prefer Ethiopia/Kenya beans, coffee made from Indian beans is not bad. While it doesn't have the same buttery nutty flavor you get from African beans, it also doesn't have the sour notes you get from South American beans and the coffee here is very good

Don't forget to stop downstairs at the bean shop and take home their specialty coffee, wines, jams, and other treats for yourself or as gifts. My only regret was being too full to try their desserts. Unfortunately my German experience of "looks better than it tastes" has proven right once again and hence, the four stars. I am still looking for a cafe that serves amazing coffee and cake. The coffee here is very good, and I loved it. They can brew you something special from their long list of coffees using multiple brewing methods, if you so desire. The place was packed by the time we left. Staff are friendly and the service is pretty quick. I would come back here for the coffee again. A must stop for coffee lovers, they sell all kinds of specialty brands (at a price, obviously). What I really liked was the personal service by the owner himself, he told us about the coffees and different preparation methods. We could also take a smell of the different beans that are kept in large metal canisters - the difference is amazing. Upon reading the descriptions at first I thought they'd be exaggerated, but now that I've tried some of the coffee I can tell you it's worth it. The only downside is that unfortunately they don't take as much effort to find and sell good milk and croissants as they do with their coffee (why ruin a great coffee with a mediocre milk?). Also you cannot really sit outside because it's too noisy due to the road.
