This place never grabbed my attention from the outside, but once I found out it came from Grupo La…read moreMusa, I decided to give it a try when I was in the mood for a hamburger.
On a weekday afternoon it was almost impossible to get a table. At least that's what I assumed... I could not get any of the workers to talk to me for more than a second to fill me in on our chances of being seated inside or out. Fortunately, one server running by took pity on my confused self and told us we could come sit in his section outside despite the fact he was not really wanting to add another table to his load. We were not sure if we wanted to stay after being ignored for so long but decided to stick it out after his nice gesture.
Since the poor guy was running up and down the block handling the entire outside section, it was almost impossible to get his attention but we eventually had some food in front of us. We tried their version of a bacon cheddar hamburger which was pretty good but what I loved was the special Verano Rojo salad with fresh watermelon, basil, tomato, feta and vinaigrette. In a city where great salads are far and few between, this was a welcome addition to the meal.
Overall, the experience and food was fine but nothing that I would jump to make a reservation for (and I would definitely reserve next time).
