From the front reception desk to the actual what they call Forest rooms it is about a block-long walk. Once I got to my room there were two what look like cots for beds. The mattress's were awful 2 inch thick slabs. One pillow & one throw pillow on each cot. the throw blankets were gross, to say the least. There was a tiny cell phone that wasn't connected to reach the front desk. They don't have air conditioning in the rooms so you have to open the sliding glass doors without screens - letting in all the bugs from outside. The bathrooms are open and only two towels & 2 small rolls of toilet tissue are given. No-wash cloths, soap bars, only a generic wall dispenser. The shower runs out of hot water fast. Overall cleanliness was a 4 on a scale of 1-10. Trying to sleep on the slab was bad enough, but the house cleaning people didn't respect the hanging "Privacy" tags on the door, constantly walking in each day. I would have to say the best part of the stay was the coffee. I would NOT recommend.

Many different colours, different types of furniture from different eras and paintings all mixed (and not matched) throughout the room. When I got visitors I usually take them here to grab some breakfast. We have tried the breakfast buffé and were not huge fans, but they have a menu where you can choose between a couple of sandwiches and some salads. It can be really crowded at times which makes it hard to find a place to sit and it also makes the noise level very high. They do have a back area where the breakfast buffé is served with some extra (not as cozy) tables, but this is also the childrens area, so the sound level is, as you probably can imagine, not much lower here. ;) It can be crowded not only where you sit down to enjoy your food, but also when you stand in line to order. And since they don't take orders at the table this often results in a long queue squeezed in between the front window and the cashiers desk. Not only is it a tight fit when trying to get your order through but escaping that queue in the other direction can be a nightmare which makes it all a bit stressful. On top of that, the prices are quite high. I mean, they do have quality products, but for the hassle mentioned above it does take away from the overall experience as well. All in all, it is a place where I bring guests once to check out the nice interior and enjoy a good sandwich and some coffee out of old granny style cups. If you want to go somewhere to work / chill out there are better places.

Try going there for a brunch on Sundays but remember to book a table in advance - and not just three days before. This year they won the award for the best gløgg (similar to gluhwein) and it's good and it hits you hard! Don't plan on going home by car afterwards.

It's some of the best in Copenhagen and very clear that all of the staff is not only fantastically trained but love what they do and are passionate about it. The restaurant itself is cozy and feels quite intimate which fits its identity as it is nestled between the sea, spa/hotel, and deer park. The fact that you can take a stroll before (or after) your meal in a UNESCO World Heritage site also earns it key points in my book. As I was commuting from central Copenhagen by public transit I was slightly concerned about the location. As it turned out it was extremely convenient and a pleasant 5 minute stroll from the train station which connected directly with Norreport. An amazing 8 course meal that was particularly fresh and flavorful. The lumpfish Røe was the best I've had, and it's one of my favorites. The lobster and sweetbread combo also stood out as world class.

The scallops were sliced delicately thin and tasted so incredibly fresh. The combination of the texture and flavor was magnificent. Main course was veal served medium rare with a lovely Bourbonnais sauce. If I'm not mistaken, this restaurant has a Michelin rating for 2018. If you are staying at the hotel, this same space is used for breakfast seating. Their breakfasts are lovely as well. Very typical danish breakfast with soft boiled eggs, meat and cheeses, homemade yogurt, a porridge dish, musilii, and scrambled eggs and bacon cups.
