I went to Cafe Victor at the recommendation of the man at our hotel desk, and it was phenomenal! It's a little tough to find the entrance, the door is on the West side of the building, so it doesn't face the street and isn't super well-marked. Keep searching, the effort will definitely pay off!
Cafe Victor is a cute little spot, awesome decor, and has great espresso and super friendly staff who put a lot of care into everything they make. The breakfast menu is straightforward, with the exception of their special on the board...whatever it is, I recommend getting the special on the board!!
When I was there, they had the "Santa Bagel" on rotation: a bagel with turkey, ham, hominy stuffing, and a cranberry spread. WHOA! I mean seriously, everyone has their version of a holiday sandwich like this, but this was out of this world delicious!
I finished it, without a side, and it was one of those "I'm really full but damn that was so good I want to order another one" situations, you know, the ones you dream of. I'm glad I didn't eat any more, because the fullness continued to set in!
Next time I visit Ireland (and there will be a next time soon) I'm going to make it a point to visit Sligo, mostly for Cafe Victor! read more
