We stayed in the circus wagon, and it was excellent. Nice and quiet, where your only neighbors are chickens and ducks. I definitely slept very well - a mix of fresh air, and removed from the city life. Inside the cafe, Annelie has her wonderful photography from Africa on display. Absolutely stunning pieces of art. Next time I'm in the GBG area, I will stay here again, and recommend it to everyone. Hands down, a rare gem that needs to be experienced.

I recommend this because the taxi drivers can try to rip tourists off by charging far too much, like one did to me. The place is not just made special by someone who gives great customer service and gives great customer service, but he actually wants to behave completely correctly in the admirable Swedish way. The place is perfectly done, that would even English adapter plug sockets for UK guests and a free beer which was not the usual upsell. Also even though I had not booked breakfast he still have me a free coffee in the morning. It Is by lake which is lovely as well. Just need to make sure you bring your own towel, but that is it.

When we arrived the front desk said our Superior suite wasn't ready & offered to take our bags if we wanted to go walk around. We had just traveled all the way from California so I asked if she could just give us any room that was ready so we could shower and change before our dinner reservations. I told her we would take even a standard room. She immediately checked us into an executive suite. The room overlooked the central station and met our needs. We stayed here again toward the end of our stay and this time we got the Superior suite overlooking the lounge. Both rooms had their own charm but if you're a light sleeper I recommend getting a room that faces the inside atrium of the hotel not the street. I slept great in both rooms. Our favorite part about this hotel apart from the decor, great staff and location was the breakfasts. We fell in love with Gothenburg and I believe this hotel played a part in that. When visiting Scandinavia I will try to book stays in Radisssons when possible.

I arrived at 0930 after several long flights from the States. They were quite accommodating while they prepared my room. I was able to check in at 1100. There are several pictures of the updated rooms already on Yelp. The picture I posted is the view from my room. Odd numbered rooms have an interior view, while even numbered rooms have an outside view of Gothenburg. When you check in, make sure you let them know if you have a preference. The gym is small, but the equipment is new and very high tech. For example, the weightlifting equipment has a display that shows you the proper speed for your lifting cycle. There is also a full service Spa onsite as well There are two restaurants on-site, the Atrium and Noot Nordic Kitchen. The included breakfast is nothing less than astonishing. It puts cruise ships to shame. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, and the main train station is just across the street, as is the expansive Nordstan shopping mall.
