We woke up a little later than usual and we were ready to get some breakfast. We stayed at Escario Central Hotel so this place was very convenient to get to. Just across the way.
I originally wanted to order a white cafe mocha but the waitress stated its not available. uhmm ok, aren't you a cafe? Anyway we end up getting the caramel latte and it was on the small side. I guess I'm used to having a huge cup of java so when I see a cute little cup, it tends to be on the tiny side to me. Anyway the latte came in a clear glass cup and you can see the layers of ingredients. It was nice. The flavor didn't have a wow factor to it. Back home I brew my own and have a whole fridge full of torani syrups and ID creamers stocked up, so when i order or make a certain flavor I expect that flavor to be very apparent. This was like coffee made from a regular coffee maker and they quickly threw some flavorings in it. But hey atleast there was a little bit of coffee art. Anyway a caffeine addict is a caffeine addict I quickly consumed my cup despite the lack of flavor.
We ordered the "fancy loaded french toast" and "Sausage" meals, and what they lack in taste in their coffe made up for in their food. The french toast was huge and the condiments were separatly organized on the plate. I took a bite and the crunch was heaven, french toast was not soggy. yay! Inside filling was ham and cheese. So it was like a french toast sandwhich. Ham was a little greasy and dry and didn't seem fresh, but the french toast exterior was very good. I tried my wife's hungarian sausage plate and it was reminescent of the State Fair of Texas. Sausage on a stick. Packed of flavor! She was also pleased with her selection.
Service was a little slow despite that there weren't any other customers. Waitresses were friendly. I did notice that when we arrived one customer was leaving and the a/c blew cold, however when he left they turned down the a/c. Like uhmm ok are we to have less a/c? *shrugs* They gave us a clicker thing to ring them when I needed something, it made me feel awkward because it was like the remote control to their doorbell. The bell sound echoed throughout their cafe. Overall I'd come back again and try their other menu items, but they need to improve in their coffee offerings both in taste and availability.
