We came here for breakfast and coffee. Surprisingly, although the server seemed to be Italian, the latter was an issue: for my partner, he insisted on a latte although she tried ordering a black coffee; he tried doing the same when I ordered, but only my repeated insistence on cafe negro, black coffee, got through. When our coffees came, mine was seemingly a watered down nescafe, while my partner's had a very weird taste, as if they'd mixed some instant coffee at the bottom and covered it in artificial creamer. Anyway, our English breakfasts were better: very well priced, and very expansive. Individual items were somewhat lacking (aging tomatoes, old beans) but overall the core of the breakfast was solid (sausage, ham, eggs, toast). Perhaps we'll venture back in the future, but for now the mess with the coffee is keeping us away. read more
