A solid group of people were left at the end of the night as they were closing down. As is the case with most of Copenhagen, the clientelle and bartenders spoke English, and could explain what some of the beers/ liquors were. A few german beers, a couple shots that tasted like Robitussin cough syrup, and a good crowd make this place a place that I'd be willing to come back to.

My friend Oscar was once in a group of people who were all denied entrance because she didn't like the very look of them (tbh, they are also an extremely fashionable and euro-trashy bunch). Anyway, she hates everyone and gives me the stink eye every time I've been there. But who cares? Without her it wouldn't be the same! The Eiffel beer is dirt cheap, but tastes like polluted tap water. Once again, that's part of what makes Eiffel Bar what it is. Now you're asking why I graded it one of the best when all I've done is tell you how bad it is. But then you'd be missing the point because Eiffel Bar is supposed to be bad and so it is. It does it to perfection and since I love dives and everything they represent, I freaking love this place.

What I really like here is the quieter weekdays when you can sip your unique cocktails in peace. The drinks have nice flavours and I think everyone can find a combination of flavours they like here. The menu also shows through pictograms the sort of glassware that the drink comes in. And I've found that very useful for quick selection when I don't know what I want. By default the drinks served in tumblers have my preferred flavour and I stay away from the ones served in champagne coupes. Works for me.

I also tried the ginger litchi drink but it could not compete with the Pure passion, so I am still to find out whether other cocktails on the menu can rise to the level of their passion fruit drink. They also serve a small and big tapas board with different cheeses, sausages, bread and the best caramelized apple compote ever. But if you're hungry for anything else it's best to eat before coming. The place seems popular as an after work bar based on the crowd on a Friday evening, and even at 17 we were lucky to get a table. So if you are more than two people it is advisable to reserve a table beforehand. It can also get quite loud when all the tables are full, so it's not the best place for conversation on a Friday evening at least. Will maybe try again on a weekday when it might be more calm.

But it's cool to know that just by drinking a coffee here, it's helping. The cappuccino came with a little dark chocolate and it was just perfect with the coffee. Prices are about usual for the area. I enjoyed the indoor seating to the outside. Bevar's outdoor seating is better.
