I use to go to the cafe when it was at it's previous location which is nearer to where i work but i followed them to their present location due to the fact that the staff are very friendly, the food is excellent and good value for money. I would recommend this place to anybody who enjoys good food which is made to order and homemade cakes.

I used to love this pie n pea shop - the best pie n peas ever but it just isnt the same since it changed hands. This used to be a big english tradition and somehow they just dont taste the same being made by a different culture who have added their own bits and bobs alongside like kebabs, etc. This takes away the traditional pie n pea atmosphere and i feel there should be one or the other as they just dont mix well. Obviously it isnt the culture change that has just changed the cafe its also the fact they just arent the same pies made in the same way by the same person - i think the new owners now buy cheaper versions of the pies and peas and thus the old taste just isnt there.

This is the normal everyday kebab/chicken and chips and burger/pizza joint - you can anything from them all under one roof to eat in or to take out. I have their chicken and chips deal for £1.99 which is quite tasty and just as good but cheaper than kfc - you get loads and you dont have to wait forever for your food to be served - when it does come it is always piping hot and very tasty. Their pizzas are from £1.99 and they too are lovely with a huge selection of toppings. The food is always fresh and tasty and the staff are lovely. The place from outside might look a bit cheap but dont let it put you off as the food is nice.

It is in a good spot and gets a lot of passing trade - it always looks very buys when i go past. I usually have a cheese and ham toastie and a coke which comes to about £4 which is quite reasonable i think. They do a good range of muffins, paninis, sandwiches, icecreams, coffees and more, most being made infront of you so they are always nice, hot and fresh and above all tasty. They offer a few good meal deals which are always changing so look out for them. The cafe part is quite vast and the seats are very comfy - i coule sit there all day and watch the world go by. The staff are very friendly and lovely and they always have a few minutes to spare for a quick good morning and how are you - they are very very nice. My mug had lipstick stain on it and the sprite was 3 months out of date!! the sandwiches were passable. won't be visiting again. My daughter was only 2 at the time and could not hold it. The staff behind the counter was rude and not helpfull. She was not going to let my little girl use the loo unless I bought something. I told her that if she did not help then my daughter would wee on her floor as she could not hold it. She told me to use the town hall toilets as they were over the road I told her that my daughter could not hold it that long. Evently she let me use a toilet which was also the cleaning cupboard and very cramped. Not good at all, from the outside this cafe looks quite classy and a place you would want to visit. It is a shame that this in not the truth inside. The staff could do with learning some customer service and compassion. I can understand the policy on the customer thing and I would have under stood if it was just me. But it was a young child that was potty training I think that the assistant could have understood a bit more.
