Took my wife out for our anniversary. She had a wonderful tortellini with garlic bread. I had their…read moreprime rib with fries and corn. She didn't have any beverage while I had their dragonberry mojito. The beverage was excellent, as was the tortellini and garlic bread, and the fries are possibly the best in Ellensburg. My cut of prime rib was more done than I ordered and was lacking in flavor. The doneness the establishment had control over, the taste, not so much. The corn was not very good, like it had been out too long, soft and not the best taste. The service was excellent! Our server Taylor was very attentive and worked hard to make our visit memorable. I left a tip a bit higher than what I normally would. The part though that is irritating to me is they charge a 3% credit card fee. This restaurant is equidistant between banks that I use. If I had known of this fee I could have had cash. Banking fees should be built into your pricing. $40 for a 10-12 ounce prime rib should contain enough profit to absorb the credit card fee. All in all a good meal that mostly checks the excellent box.

Party of 2 on a Sunday afternoon. We popped in after the Junk-Tique event at the fairgrounds. Upon…read moreentrance we were immediately met with two large softball/baseball team groups seated in the main dining area. Oh man! There was open seating in the bar, the door greeter (bartender?) handed us some menus and said we could choose our own table. Definitely understaffed for two big teams of kids & parents, many empty tables were not cleared (including ours). We were warned that the kitchen was catching up with all the orders so it might take longer than normal. We didn't mind since we wanted to have a drink first anyway. We enjoyed the spicy Bloody Mary and a yummy ceviche appetizer to start. We eventually ordered the heaping 12th Man burger; too big to eat with your hands, had to knife and fork that baby! Hubs ordered the fish tacos, fresh & crispy, no complaints. The staff was hustling, spread thin, but still amazingly friendly & efficient. We will return to try other menu items.

Typical classic American diner food at typical classic American diner prices. It is what it is…read more Hot turkey commercial sandwich was as expected: open face pile of turkey breast meat on bread alongside mound of mashed potatoes, all of it slathered in a tsunami of gravy. Bread was toasted & buttered so had an extra hit of flavor for that. Gravy ran to the salty side, but not strongly enough to give your mouth that salt burning sensation I've bumped into a few times in the past. Complimentary cranberry sauce offered a bright note to the meal. Overall a substantial plate o' food that was pretty middle of the road flavor wise. Portion was truck driver mondo!! Definitely enough to fuel you over the pass to Seattle or all the way to Spokane, depending on which way you're headin'. Word of warning: Expect to do laundry when you get home. Smell of oil from the diner's fryer is dominant enough to register strongly as soon as you enter the door shared with the Circle J convenience store next door. As noted, typical-typical-typical. It is what it is.

Worst steak I have ever had. Seriously…read more I ordered food delivered, so I figured it would come not super hot or anything. But when I got my $30 steak I was seriously flabbergasted. It looked like a piece of tree or something. It was SO dry and a terrible cut of meat. I was not expecting anything fancy, but I am not exaggerating when I say this was the WORST STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD. I couldn't even eat it after a couple of bites. I was trying to think of something I could make it into, but it was seriously so gross I just had to throw it away, and I hate wasting food. When I ordered it, I specified medium rare and even added the note "on the rare side" since I figured it would keep cooking during delivery. What I got was well-done, brown all the way through, like a fucking hockey puck. The soup was gross and weirdly fatty (like a whole bunch of grease floating in it). The mashed potatoes and gravy were pretty much what I expected-- mostly flavorless and pale. When I contacted the restaurant, they said I had to take it up with the delivery company. I told them, yeah, but you are the ones who cooked this steak. They said to mention it "next time" I come in. I told them I just wanted a refund, as I have no intention of eating there ever. They refused.
