The one right off the port has great upstairs seating. And there is a set of bathrooms upstairs. They have a good menu in English, but the drink menus are only in French. LM la Boite was the saving grace of a road devoid of many coffee stops. It was a beautiful and quaint little building with a very reasonable menu and a wonderful welcoming host who runs the restaurant and I imagine lives there. While she didn't really speak English, she was very hospitable and didn't seem to be upset that I was not able to speak French. The menu featured breakfast items as well as lunch (sandwiches, burgers, gelato, etc.) All I really wanted was some coffee, but she was so hospitable I also ordered some bean soup with meat broth. It was delightful. It was made prior and had to be warmed up and there was a vegetable soup option as well. It was delicious. While I did not try the omelettes or spaghetti, I found the soup and coffee to be delicious and I'm glad this place was open on a Sunday!

We brought our two young kids with us and the restaurant was super accommodating, bringing out the kids meals first, providing coloring pages and crayons, and even bringing out a little box of small toys to entertain the kiddos! The food was delicious! Definitely try the ribs! So yummy!

If you get a chance eat in the veranda area. The view on a nice evening is quite scenic. Perusing the menu they had a good offering of seafood, steaks and many other things including pasta and salad. Asking the server and she mentioned the specialty of the restaurant was the prime rib roast beef. So I ended up ordering a 10 oz (rare) with fries and vegetables. Also served with the meal was a wonderful very tangy vinaigrette coleslaw that was bit garlicky but slightly sweet which was very nice to get the appetite going. The beef was excellent. A good portion with some fatty areas but not tough at all and seasoned lightly. My cut was rare and done exactly as I preferred. I worked my way around the fat and very much enjoyed the meal! It was just the perfect size. Not belly ache too much but I was hungry. Service was very good. Overall I'd say this is the restaurant to come to in the region. Come eat the beef. You won't be disappointed. They have a 20oz if you have a construction worker or a fat mans appetite.

Ordered the chicken sandwich and hot dog poutine combos, both came with a drink. Also it was my first time having gravy options for the poutine, they had a choice of classic or bbq. The fries were sweet, and a mixture of soft and crispy.... I love Quebec fries! They put the perfect amount of curds and gravy. Friendly staff, great poutine and amazing views. Luckily for us, they manage to find a four-seated table. The good: Service was number one. Waitress did not speak English and she really felt bad about it. She also felt bad that our orders were taking time to arrive (trust me, they were not. The delay was a normal one). Everyone was very satisfied with their meals (mac and cheese, shrimps brochette, meatball plate, pork chop). My father in-law said this is " the best pork chop he ever had " (and he had quite a few). Decor is magnificent. The bad: They were out of Rickard's Red beer. During the night, l experienced very tough stomach and intestinal pain (which might confirms that my meatballs were indeed not that fresh, made a day or two in advance?) but l was not sick, just awake for the night. Mac and cheese reheated was not good. We tried to make a reservation for a few days later but once again, it was full. This place is EXTREMELY popular. There is a good chance that you might not eat there if you just show up. This was our favourite restaurant throughout our trip. Worth the stop. You just have to plan it and reserve.

Smoked meat of course is the specialty of the house and I would recommend it. The lunch portion is a reasonable portion of (slightly spongy) rye bread with yellow mustard and fries. It's a good amount. For dessert, I really recommend what they call "unemployed man's pudding" (in French Pudding Chomeur) which is actually just a maple syrup cake. A small portion of this sweet stuff is all you need to finish off your meal. They do have tons of other things for lunch - the smoked salmon salad looked good, as did the rotisserie chicken. It's all Pepsi here. No Coke.
