It's where the locals go. ________________________…read more Caffeine Kings has become our regular neighborhood coffee shop hangout - from our morning coffee routine, to Thursday night Trivia, and anytime we're peckish for some really good food. It's got everything you could ever want from your "local". There's loads of coffee shops in our neighborhood to choose from, and we've tried them all... but Caffeine Kings is, well..... the King ;) And it's not just for their great coffee, the breakfast menu is impressive, and if there's any caramel slices left in the pastry display - you gotta try one! It'll change your life! They're open at night as a full bar & restaurant (Night Caps) from Thursday thru Sunday night, and have beer on tap, the tastiest food, and yummy cocktails to match. The Turkish Bread & Trio of Dips is a MUST. Also tried and loved: The Salmon Crostini, the Chorizo, the Haloumi & Asparagus, and the Burgers, if you're looking for a food-coma ;) Over and above the A+ Coffee & Food, we just really appreciate the overall vibe of authenticity, and the friendliness of the staff, which makes it easy to pop-in, and hard to leave ;)

Opening ten minutes late due to chatting to a regular outside isn't a great start for those hanging out for their post-swim caffeine fix. The Açai bowls are smaller and contain fewer add-ins than other local places, for the same price, and take a strangely long period of time to make. I had a great coconut milk flat white, but it also took a long time to arrive. Being a small service area, they only make a small range of toasties and the bowls, as well as providing a small selection of muffins, and between 9:30-10:30am you can get a bacon and egg burger. But just for that one hour. The view of the Burleigh coastline from the seats is pretty spectacular, so get yourself a coffee and soak it up as the sun rises if you're not in a hurry.
