Cafe Gelato store front.

I've passed by this place a million times, but tonight was my first night going inside! It's just across from Hanes Park and would be a great snack after an evening stroll! The young man that was working was friendly and greeted me when I walked in. He asked what he could get for me, but he didn't offer any samples. I haven't had gelato post-covid but I'm not sure if samples were an option. If you've ever been to a Gelato shop, the ambiance of this place is exactly the same. One small table inside and one outside for customers to enjoy. There were about 8 Gelato and 2 sorbet flavors to choose from. I selected a small cup of the toasted almond. It was smooth and velvety, just as it should be.

Cute place! As long as I've lived here this was my first time stopping in: we came after dinner and there were a few other people there. Small seating area and a few flavors to choose from: we both got pistachio and were taken care of immediately and with a big smile from the woman at the counter! The gelato was incredible: big serving for cost and delicious: smooth and creamy, not icy or old tasting at all. Really clean pistachio flavor and not too sugary (I'm old now I like my desserts not too sugary.) Next time I'm trying berry or grapefruit!

Nothing but good things to say about Cafe Gelato! The same lovely lady has been making this authentic gelato in West End for probably close to 20 years now. One of my personal favorites is the coconut. The flavors in the gelato are so fresh and don't taste fake at all. The creaminess is absolutely unparalleled. There is street parking only and not many tables (3-4 inside & 1 outside), but you're right across the street from the Park and it's a perfect place to enjoy this delicious gelato!

Cute little cafe where you can see all the gelato right as you walk in. Great selection of flavors. Pretty much all of the fruit flavors are vegan so that's a plus! I got the blood orange and pineapple to try but was so tempted to try the pistachio! The gelato was good. I guess the only downside is there isn't much seating. Only room for two or three two seat tables inside.

It's such a cute little spot; located west of Winston-Salem. It was our 1st time & staff were super friendly, they offered mini spoons for us to sample taste , which wasn't many flavors to choose from, but the options they had were just enough! So creamy and refreshing, mano and pistachio was whatbwe ordered, and I must say the pistachio must be a favorite for a lot of folks, I literally got the last scoop. I'll definitely come back.

It was great gelato! The owner provided great service! We ordered pistachio and coffee favors. They were both great. I wish she put more pistachios though. It needs a bit more texture. Otherwise, they were perfect for dessert.

Was my first time here today. Let me start by saying the chocolate gelato is delicious! There were maybe 5 flavors available. Not many choices, and there wasn't a menu anywhere so I wasn't sure what beverages were available. There were fresh flowers on the tables. Not many places to sit.

Selections for the day!

By far my favorite place to get Gelato. Cafe Gelato atmosphere is small but very cozy and relaxing. I also favor the color choice of the setting because it's super appealing to the eye. There are various selections including VEGAN options (for my vegan friends out there). The taste was fresh and wasn't overly sweet. You're able to combine two flavors and she also offers waffle cones (I'm not sure if the cone is vegan but I got it for decoration lol). I also talked to the owner and she was very delightful, polite and welcoming. She also created conversation surrounding my vegan lifestyle which I felt comfortable discussing because I mean being vegan is awesome. I mentioned this because normally you get to places and they check you to complete the transaction and move on with their tasks. However, she didn't and made me feel good about choosing this location. So for anyone looking for fresh gelato this is the place to go! You won't be disappointed at all!

Pistachio, though any flavor works

I am not going to say we moved to the West Highlands to be closer to Cafe Gelato, but I will say that it is an amazing benefit of living near Hanes Park. We love the gelato so much that at the start we would always order mediums, then feel too full after we finished them. So now we exercise greater discipline and just order the small, most often combining two flavors like chocolate and mango (what I had tonight). Dog friendly.

Best gelato in Winston Salem and best Boba tea in North Carolina. They have an excellent outdoor space where you can sit and enjoy your choice of flavor on a great sunny fall day. They also have really cool outdoor lighting.. they have a great jukebox that you can play for free that plays really cool vintage songs

The staff is so nice and patient with my kids! The gelato is really good! So glad they put one on Hawthorne rd! The new one is bigger!

Did a quick yelp search, and found Camino wasn't too far from where we were. We walked over and found it clustered in a nice area with several restaurants we've visited in the past. There was a short line, and only one person taking/making orders behind the counter. I couldn't figure out what the other two were doing, but he was able to keep the line moving fairly fast. We ordered a slice of quiche and a Danish to share. We asked for the quiche to have to have there, and the Danish to go, so asked to have it heated. They said they couldn't heat any food, but pointed us in to the microwave in the dining area which was a bit odd to me. Otherwise, the food was tasty. They've got a good bit of a seating inside with a laid back, relaxed feel. They've got some art on the walls, assuming from local artists for sale. They also have a small patio out front on the sidewalk. We did need to use the bathroom before leaving, which are locked, and you need to ask the staff for code to use them, which isn't something we're used to.

Today, I went to Oasis at the Mill for a delicious Velvet Fog chaga- & kava-infused drink. I also booked a Vibro-Acoustic Therapy session for the first time! I was asked what I was feeling to experience energetically out of the various programs available and I chose "Release". I didn't know what to expect and it turned out to be quite profound and healing on many levels so I want to share my experience. I was taken to a beautiful dark teal room with Tibetan prayer flags overhead...tranquil and inviting. I put on some padded headphones while the program was being initiated, and made myself comfortable on my back on an ergonomically sculpted bed. Resonant music came through the headphones as the bed began to vibrate and undulate, my back and legs receiving a massage-like experience as my entire body felt the resonance of sound healing. My first impression was feeling I was a garden being tilled...old stagnant energy was being lifted and shaken and I felt a renewed energy pouring through me. In time, I connected my experience with the elements, grounding energy of Earth, sinking and flowing as Water, lifting and moving in spirals as Air, and the warmth and blaze of Fire...as these blended into Spirit I began to journey and fell into what felt like a sleep state. I came out of the sleep state as the resonance shifted, and it gently brought me to stillness over several minutes, softening and slowing until the program ended. I felt refreshed and renewed and was already deciding that "Oh, I have to do this on a regular basis!" And, the fact that there are programs to access many energetic states is so exciting!
