This cafe is situated at the entrance to Khandallah Park. Even on a rainy autumn day, it's a very nice place. I've visited several times in a range of seasons and it's consistently nice. Food offerings are homestyle and really tasty, apart from a few mass produced cookies at the counter, wrapped in cellophane. Anyway, back to the good stuff ... all the food has a marvellous home made touch. Today I enjoyed a bowl of lovely Pumpkin, Kumara (NZ sweet potato) and Ginger soup, it was deliciously creamy, spicy and good. I also had a slice of Carrot Cake. This is what brings me back here, it's fabulous... moist, spicy and lovely. My friends and I have had great burgers, sandwiches and salads here too. It's good. Thank you. read more
