We saw Cafe Del Sol on Yelp after driving ten hours from Atlanta. We decided to try because of good ratings, an interesting menu and it was close to our hotel. We were the only people when we arrived but they were doing a very busy takeout business. The service was excellent. However the best part was the food. For food in a restaurant it was outstanding. Looking for a good lunch in Hagerstown and went downtown but really nothing there and many closed on Sunday. Navigated to cafe Del Sol which is in strip mall. You will not be disappointed. Menu for lunch has wide variety of salads and sandwiches. We got shrimp pesto bowl. Shrimp were succulent and pesto was just right amount of basil cheese and oil. Also got one of the chicken avocado bowls. Everything was fresh and just right amount. Side salad with crisp greens and onions. Only down side is service was a bit lackadaisical. Had a great dinner at cafe del sol tonight. We walked in to the open kitchen. I'm not sure why the kitchen is open to just the front door but not the whole restaurant, but the restaurant is nicely decorated. Must've come in after a busy stretch because there were many dirty tables which made it hard to "seat yourself". Anywho the service was good and I enjoyed my Ahi salad, it was perfectly seared, raw inside on fresh spring greens with ripe avocado, crisp watermelon radish, roasted almond, seaame seeds, a carrot peanut vinaigrette and mango salsa. It was an off menu special but if its available when you go, get it. I also had a cup of red rock bisque which was very salty but good. My wife had a caesar salad and the chipotle pesto filet skewer. On the phone for 45 minutes for a delivery order. Went over the order at least three times. Was missing an order when they dropped off and had to call back, and then spent another 15 min on the phone just to get a soup delivered... when the soup was delivered they just LEFT IT at the front of the business for anyone... terrible service and we gave them a really nice tip. read more

My husband and I came here on a Sunday around noon. We didn't find a single thing wrong! The building itself is a bit bland but once you walk in the atmosphere is cozy cute and inviting. You can see the kitchen when you walk in and can seat yourself. Our sever was quick attentive and knowledgeable on the menu items. We got the mozza Luna as appetizer, the breading was cooked evenly and cheesy inside. Husband got the Cuban sandwich which he said has been the best Cuban he's gotten in a very long time. We were traveling on Interstate 81 and decided to try to find a quick bite to eat before it got late and wound up here. It was after 8pm and only 3 or 4 other guests were there. (But it was late on a Sunday). I ordered a salad and my friend ordered a pizza. Both items came out quickly and were wonderful. The food is good, service was also good and everything was clean. HORRIBLE! I went with my mother and grandson to this restaurant. At first are waiter came over and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer. I ordered a panini and a red rock bisque with (mini shrimp and crap) oh I mean crab. My mother ordered a mushroom quesadilla and my grandson ordered a chicken caesar wrap and fries. My panini left much to be desired and my red rock bisque did not have mini shrimp or crab but mini minced pieces of so called shrimp and crab. My mother's food was mediocre and soggy. My grandsons food had too much caesar dressing. The best thing of the night were his fries. Over all, pretty horrible. If you see this place run! read more

Another Hagerstown staple. Great food and very friendly staff. Service time is always reasonable. During covid they are limiting capacity to every other table/booth. The staff are all wearing masks and they have bottles of hand sanitizer on every table for you to use. My only complaint would probably be that the restaurant is usually dark inside, especially in the evening hours. If you can look past that, you'll be in for a great dining experience! read more

We walked in and ordered the strawberry field salad, Korean bbq pork bowl and sweet potato fries. Took the kitchen 15 minutes to have it ready.
