In summer time great seating outside on ale-benches, in winter time inside at the wooden and rustic bar. The beer selection helps to decide on a good drink. As mostly everyone in Göttingen is friendly and happy staff is always sweet and top notch :)

The staff is usually friendly and speaks sufficient to good english. The only downsides I can see is that the place will get crowded and quite smoked-up during winter and because of German nighttime noise regulations you'll have to head inside after midnight. But that's not enough to warrant the loss of a star. Oh and yes, this place serves cider!

The coffees and lemonades they do I really like! I find it relaxing there. The interior inside is quite nice with the black and white tiles and leather sofas. There is a piano. I enjoyed my breakfast here, too. You can eat salads, soup and pasta. This is not special but okay. In the evenings I would recommend a cocktail! Staff seems to be students from the university. I sometimes go in, order a großer Milchkaffee, read a magazine here or prepare for a lecture!

Management needs to visit El Gallo in Freiburg and then reconceive its menu. The concept is good but the execution leaves much to be desired.
