While in a recent visit to Maysville, KY, we had a hankering for some hand dipped ice cream. Luckily we came across this diamond in the rough, the Cream Cafe. An eclectic looking building on Old Main Street, it was a pleasant surprise and one we will return to in the future. Lots of variety and a burrito bar attached. Burritos and ice cream?? This place has cute exterior and interior. Plenty of parking outside, seatings inside and outside. I have been here more than 4 times now and got different things each time. I enjoy how much ice cream you get simply from one scoop. The açaí type of smoothie bowls are pretty good for the size and price. Fresh fruits may be hard to come by during the winter months though, so your options are limited. Salad options are simple and good. Burritos and other bowls are decent but the portion size seemed small to our liking. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. I'd give this place a 4.2/5. read more

We stopped here at 7:56pm to eat. According to the hours listed they're open til 9. The employees looked annoyed that we were there and turned away from us. We tried to get one employees attention to start placing our order and she interrupted us with an attitude saying they stop serving at 8:00pm. The bar was full of steaming hot food but she refused to serve us. Why they stop serving at 8 when their hours are open til 9 is beyond me but it's ridiculous! read more

veggie burrito had meat in it, thankfully it was the most half assed burrito roll I've ever seen and I saw the meat when the thing fell apart. staff also "forgot" about our smoothies we ordered for like 10 minutes, as they let us know when they finally gave up the smoothies. staff clearly doesnt care about their jobs. wont be returning. not a smile was seen in the building. read more

Ice cream is for sure the specialty. The portions are massive and decent price for what you get.. Beyond that, it's gone downhill. Milkshakes are always messy and either thin or crazy lumpy. The food isn't good anymore. They used to use a deli slicer and good quality meats and cheese. Now I get this. Cheese is gross, tastes like it's out of individual plastic if you know. Meat seems like the over processed pre sliced crap. Their best sandwich is the chicken salad and they buy that from a local place that anyone can buy from. This sandwich was $6.95 with tax... Also the building is not kept up. It looks ice inside but the outside deck is NOT up to code. The ceiling slates were pretty but aren't kept up anymore and the deck is also messy. The brownie sundae is so big that two people can eat it. They offer outside and inside tables to eat on. They also serve hot menu items as sandwiches, fries, and wraps. I order the cafe Cobb and asked for no cheese on my salad, and when it came to my surprise I got the biggest portion of shredded cheese all mixed in. The ranch was very bleh and tasted like it was store bought. So for 9.50 for a salad, it was underwhelming with no flavor. The staff are so friendly and helpful- so very patient with our orders. We ordered different lunch items and I love my chicken/turkey sandwich- made grilled cheese style! The best part is they allowed dogs inside :-) People think I'm weird that I go everywhere with my rescued doggy- but hey, she's my baby... They give out free ice cream for dogs- A plus!!! This place is horrible. We went through the drive thru. They lost our ticket and we waited for over an hour in the drive thru just for them to also mess up our order 5 times. They have no idea what they are doing. We ordered snow cones and they gave us ice cream sherbets. They still don't know what coffee we ordered after we told them 5 different times. The lattes we got tasted like straight water with ice in them. We will never go back and I dont suggest anyone else does either. We wasted 21 dollars just to get water instead of coffee!!! read more
