Our server was good and apologized for the delay but it did take a long, long time just to get our drinks and some members of our party received breads and pastries way before receiving coffee and juices. I saw many other tables attempting to flag down servers and other groups were sitting with no drinks for a noticeable amount of time while we were there. Food was interesting. The menu was huge and had a lot of healthy and vegetarian options. My omelette was ok and the acai bowl was delicious surprise to find in Metepec. There was a large smoothie selection and I got to have a sip of one of my table mate's green smoothies. It was delicious! Someone else had matcha bread which had a buttery pleasant taste (would have been great with coffee). There were lots of other menu items I would like to try but they need to increase their staff.

We were in a hurry and just stopped for a quick lunch. Bad news- no menus in English. Good news- there are pictures on the menu :) I started with bean soup and then had the enchiladas. Warning- portions are American size!!! The soup was big enough to be a meal. Next time it will be! The enchiladas were good but it was a little bland. I added some salt. The shredded chicken on top was very fresh. Afterward you pay up front, like a diner. We took our pastry to go since we ran out of time. I got this horn shaped thing stuffed with a yellow custard and ate it a few hours later after my meeting. OMG- add it to your death row meal list! It was delicious. It tasted like it had a liquor flavor added to the custard. The plain looks of this were totally deceiving. I would get this again, and again. I would even stop here just for the pastry if I saw this place while driving somewhere.

They tasted so fresh and flavorful. I know it sounds crazy, but try it with the spread that is made with crickets that they have on the table. It really added a nice touch to the sampling. Next time I am in town, I will definitely stop by for a full meal. The setting in the San Juan Market really adds to the experience.
