As Gayle and I started Day 6 on the Camino Ingles, we set off at asa Avelina - Bar Estanco (As Travas), and continued through Hospital de Bruma. After a couple hours, we came upon Cafe Bar Novo in the Village of A Rúa.
Each day that we walked the Camino, there was always a place like this somewhere. One regret from our Pilgrimage was not taking a photograph of each of these establishments and writing a subsequent review. They were so important in terms of taking a break, sitting down and relaxing, chatting with fellow pilgrims, taking a bio-break, obtaining a credential stamp, and enjoying an expresso (or con leche for Gayle) and a nosh.
After a half hour or so, we were all on our way, refreshed, ready to continue our day. We also appreciated the local hospitality and with folks we were clearly happy that we'd all come back post-COVID. read more
