    Shrimp sandwich
    Nicky E.

Loved this place! I got a shrimp sandwich and I didn't really know what to expect, but the shrimp was luscious and plump, and the sandwich was fresh and tasty. The cafe was quiet, intimate, and cozy. I loved it here! Best little spot for somewhere cute to sit and eat!

From the U.S. and stopped in after reading positive reviews. Being from the States, we are unaccustomed to using credit cards with chips in them but knew that it was common in Norway and made sure to get them for the trip. This was our first use and I got serious attitude from a staff member for fumbling with it. Extremely disappointed with that treatment which had me wondering if that attitude was what we had to look forward to for the duration of our stay (fortunately not). The omelette was fine - just wish I had spent my money elsewhere.

Nice location, friendly staff, good prices for the area (since Bergen/Norway are so expensive). Great soup and decent wine list.

Very good traditional Norwegian meals, not too big portions, but relatively affordable. Nice barkeepers and a lovely Ambiente...

Horrible service and I love them for it. Very nice food, but crowdy most of the time..

It feels like a mom and pop shop still which is great to see but honestly, the food was just decent. We got the waffle with strawberries and it was OK. It was a floppy waffle, which might just be how waffles are done in Norway and the flavors were decent. It was highly rated across platforms so maybe we were going in with higher expectations but I am not sure why it was rated so high. It is fine and maybe a spot for drinks, but not a place I'd say you'd have to visit. It you have a bit of time, try walking out further into the back streets as I feel you might find a less-touristy place with better options.

One of the top things we wanted to try on our Norway trip was Norwegian brown cheese on the waffle for 59 kr. The taste was interesting but not anything to rave about. The waffle was already made as you can see in the bakery case. They just reheat it in a microwave and put the cheese slices on. The brown cheese itself tasted like a mildy salty cheese with mild cheese flavor. The waffle was thin and soft with a hint of sweetness. The workers were friendly and offered us free tap water.
