The day (or week) I was there they were running a special for "fermented fries"?... While I was…read moresampling some beers in the tap-room/gift shop the young lady helping me recommended I try these... And I did, and they were absolutely fantastic. One of the best meals I had in Europe - really! The texture of the the fries was perfection. Delicious, and they did not leave you feeling full or gross which is sometimes the "after affect" of eating fried food. I did not have anything else from the menu to eat, they had a limited menu but everything they had looked delish!!!! Aside from the food, I had 3-beers I think while I was there. The pilsner and and ipa were definitely in there. Everything was phenomenal. It's a very nice brewery, very clean, smooth and tight. Outstanding across the board.

If you like craft beer, go to BRUS. My friend and I went on a Wednesday evening around 7 p.m. and…read moregot a table right away outside. Start by ordering at the bar- the line moves fast. They sell half and full glasses. Since they have two sours on tap, I ordered half glasses of both the passion fruit sour ale and the raspberry one. Were they my favorite? No, but they were good and I appreciated their presence on the menu. The space itself is massive with a large taproom, an area to buy cold packs of beer and outdoor seating at long tables. They also have wifi, which is very helpful for tourists.

For tourists this bar is pretty far off the normal routes that would be recommended to you. It's…read moreone for beers geeks looking for craft beers on tap and keen to keep away from the Tuborg and Carlsberg that dominate touristy bars. It really is worth the trip, not far from the nearest metro stop it best described as a grainy hipster bar where 99% of the clientele are locals. There are retro pictures on the walls and bicycles hanging from the roof. Apart from that it is pretty basic with no fancy edges, just a chalkboard with 10-ish craft beers from across the globe on tap. I had an amazing IPA from New Zealand which is one of the best beers I have had on this trip to Copenhagen. Definitely worth a look if you like new beers and want to get of the beaten track. (Sadly no wi-fi though)

I love this gem of a place in Nørrebro…read more Forget the upscale Mikeller or the big Taphouse, this place is small but "hyggeligt" as the Danes would say. I was dragged here after a hearty meal at the Ethiopian restaurant on the same street further down Nørrebrogade and this place is just perfect. I like that there are more and more craftbeer bar in Copenhagen that gives no excuse to drink a bad beer. They have their beer list on the blackboard by the bar and you could get a taste of what you will order, and since it's called Ølsnedkeren, they make their own bottled beer as well. Too bad I had to hurry home because I was drinking on a Wednesday, but I would definitely come back to this place again.
