The hint of spiciness was a great, zesty twist of flavor and added a welcome addition to the core, creamy dark chocolate. I'm actually really glad they had a flavor this unique in Europe, as I was beginning to miss the peculiarity of savory / spicy + sweet combos that is booming in New York. Plus, I was impressed they had dark in Switzerland, a country dominated by its more well-known, sweeter milk chocolate. My husband's was warm, but hadn't asked for his to be reheated, and I chose the apple cinnamon which I had reheated on the grill. The reheating made all the difference. There were only two ladies serving everyone, so the service was on the slower side, but friendly. They both spoke a bit of English which was a bonus. I wouldn't recommend coming here for lunch. I read the review of someone who came here previously and would agree with them that for the price you pay the quality and quantity of the plates doesn't meet expectation. However, I would recommend coming here for one of their home made desserts, and a tea or coffee. Which is exactly what I did. For 8.50 CHF you can enjoy one of their desserts, all of which you could tell were freshly made recently. I chose the apple cobbler which reminded me of my grandma's speciality back home. It was delicious. I enjoyed this with a coffee which was also good. They also have an assortment of loose leaf teas that you can try if you aren't into coffee. They offer breakfast here, which might be interesting to try sometime. Be sure to bring cash, as they do not take credit card.
