Regardless, the drink menu has a nice selection. There are several flavours of gin & tonics as well as other tasty cocktails to choose from. The food menu has chicken and burgers. I originally opted for the former but changed my mind when I found out that the burger special had pork belly on it. Yummmm! The burger was great. I'll have to go back again to try the chicken. I originally ordered the coleslaw because I intended to have the chicken and canceled it because I opted for the burger. It came anyway and I was charged for it. Good thing I ate it because it was actually some of the better coleslaw I've had in Amsterdam. In other restaurants in Amsterdam when several people in the party order fries frequently the fries are combined into one large serving. I really don't care for this but oh well. The place has a great atmosphere, fun and lively. It got very busy while I was there and the busier it got the louder the music got. The service was friendly and actually quite good considering how busy they were. In addition I ordered the fried chicken on the menu for take away. They appear to be fillets of chicken battered and deep fried. Nothing special though it seems they have some spice to them. Still I had to try them. I'll have to go back for another go round because I wanted to also try their milk shakes.

The ribs and steak were just okay, they were edible, but I'd never get them again and I wouldn't recommend this as a need to go spot for friends visiting Amsterdam. Best thing is probably the fries. The service was chill as expected in Europe. Ambiance was chill, I liked the booth seats.

We ideally wanted to try out a steakhouse in every country we stepped on...so this was our Amsterdam stop. Perfect location, so their customer service was on top of it knowing we were English speakers. They even invited us to come in, since we were reading the menu posted outside. We ordered the meat platter for 2, and it was on a mini grill with: sirloin, chorizo sausage, lamb chops, chicken, and ribs! The presentation was as great as the quality of the meat. For dessert, we got the dulce de leche crepe. It was filled with ice cream and a creamy filling, topped with caramel. Delicious! Hands down one of the best meals we had on our trip. I completely recommend this place! Very welcoming staff and great food. They should meet and even top your expectations.

I came here with a few friends to try some Surinamese food in Amsterdam, as I heard it is one of…read morethe most well integrated cuisines in the Netherlands. Having never had it before, I was pleasantly surprised to see how many different parts of Asia seemed to influence this cuisine, especially given that Suriname is a South American country! There is satay, nasi goreng, goat curry, etc - stuff inspired from all over Asia but slightly different than you would get in their original countries. I ordered the chicken Longtong which is an Indonesian dish and a specialty of this place. It was OUTSTANDING and really filled me up too. I did not expect that especially given how nice and cheap it was - I had even ordered an extra side of Satay skewers which I then had to share. Service is nice and quick especially since you mostly just interact at the back stand to order, and then sit down. It was a bit crowded inside but the vibe is nice and we were able to get a table without waiting too much. One minor note is that our cards were not accepted here (visa, Mastercard), so make sure you bring cash! They did a good job of communicating this before we ordered so we did not have to waste too much time, and luckily we had just enough cash anyway. Overall, very solid recommendation for Amsterdam! Surinamese food is not to be missed.

We komen hier zeker terug!

They've got a nice inventive burger menu plus a big menu of optional toppings and sides. The place itself is not super cozy to sit in, just a few tables (including two long ones for sharing), all rather uncomfortable. But the service is friendly and fast, and the food is good! It's not going to make any lists of 'best burgers in Amsterdam' but for non-aficionados, I would recommend!

The place does nothing to discourage this or allow "local" residence priorty to eat here, ever again. The crowds of people waiting to go in, is stain on the historic Nine-streets area. The service, food and vibe here is great, we USED to enjoy it as local Amsterdam residences living here. But now, we cannot even consider it as a place to go, thanks to other social media sites. I even had a "first date" here over a year ago. I actually walked in, no line and we got a table. Imagine that. There are other places to eat in Amsterdam that are as good, if not better. Don't buy into the hype.

The bulgogi ribeye is the most popular but two employees mentioned the garlic shrimp was their favorite. The line starts on the bridge down the street. The strawberry matcha was tasty - the bitterness of the matcha is nicely offset by the sweet strawberry flavor. They offer both regular and oat milk for it. Felt that the items were a bit expensive for what they are but this spot has gained a lot of popularity via social media recently. Overall a cute spot, reminds me a lot of Semicolon cafes (some were previously Caffe Bene) in the US.

I ordered the Black Angus Beef Burger with salad and fries (Rundvlees met salads en friets). I waited and chatted a bit while he cooked. I honestly don't remember too much about eating the burger in my hotel room, but I do remember it was tasty, juicy and filling. I forgot to take a burger photo, but the next morning I could tell I had eaten everything! That must mean it was good! I also remember the warm hospitality given to an inebriated tourist. The "bubble tea" is not actually bubble tea, as it doesn't contain any tea at all, but unlike another establishment claiming to sell bubble tea, the waitress specified this and asked if I wanted one anyway. (I did. I love the tapioca!) They had MANY favors from which one could choose, but I went with one of my usuals, taro, and got a "bubble milkshake" of sorts. It was absolutely amazing! I still missed bubble tea, but the drink I got was so good, and the full disclosure of the cafe gives this place five stars! The waitress said that they will have bubble tea soon, so perhaps on my next trip to Amsterdam I'll stop by/if you go, they'll have the actual tea. My fiancé had a grilled cheese and ham sandwich, which was mediocre - your standard European ham and cheese sandwich. Nothing to write home about, but not bad either.
