Beautiful studio and very well maintained in the Alpharetta location. Parking was sufficient, staff was well organized, we love all the different booth options. There was a promo going on that we took advantage of. Jollee was great checking us in, explaining about that promo, and giving us the tour. She was very pleasant throughout. Stating so, it seems that their cameras for almost every booth that we were at happen to either be down or glitched. We would have to wait until they replace it. Some of the photographers seems to be understudies because they kept on waiting for other photographers to help assist them or telling them what to do. If I'm paying $300+, I would like a professional photographer please. Here's the worst part. They only have 1 gown of each size and color. My daughter needed a Medium black gown. There were no Small and the Large was too big. Another Senior that was 6-7 ladies in front of her was taking photos with it. We didn't think much of it. As it got closer and closer to our turn, the student disappeared. Just so happens that she went outside to take pictures with her dog! We had to wait for her to finish while 6 other student AFTER my daughter had their cap/gown photos taken. We probably waited 40+ minutes just in that line all because of that 1 Medium black gown. When the student finally came back in, it wasn't even in her hand. I had to tell our photographer to track it down outside. It was left outside with another photographer. I do not work there. I shouldn't have to tell the photographer, Claire, what to do, tracking down that gown. I do appreciate her keeping her composure though. By then, our smiles were gone, curls had dropped flat, and touched-up makeup was all crusty with dripped mascara. Mind you, we were there since our 11:45 am appt and it was already 2 pm. This was our last booth. We did the drape first, 2 other booths, and now the cap and gown. During check-out, Jace asked us how our visit went. I gave him my honest opinion of all that went on during the cap and gown booth. He stated that caps and gowns were not even supposed to be taken outside and he will tell the other photographers that. I'm addition, not everyone loves animals. Not only was the gown now smelling like sweat from outside heat, but there were dog fur everywhere on this black gown. My daughter ended up getting a rash from the dander left behind on that gown. Everything was going so well until towards the end. Now, I'm praying that my daughter's Senior portraits will turn out well. read more

**Do not buy the Elite package without fully understanding how Cady prices digital images.** I wish someone had explained this before I chose my package. ### 1. The Elite package is misleading. The Elite package looks like the best value, but it actually gives you **fewer** options when it comes to digital photos. What I wasn't told is that if you purchase the Elite package and later decide you want digital images, you **must** purchase the entire digital gallery for an additional **$1,799**. You cannot purchase individual digital photos. Had this been clearly disclosed before I purchased the package, I would have chosen a different one. ### 2. They ask you to commit before you've seen the finished product. After our three-hour photo session, we were taken into another room without anyone explaining why. I assumed we were simply wrapping up the appointment. Instead, I was presented with a time-sensitive offer to commit to a package immediately in exchange for a $200 discount. The problem is that I already have a viewing appointment scheduled in two weeks. That's when I'll actually see the edited portraits. During this appointment, I was asked to make a purchasing decision based only on a quick preview of unfinished images. Customers should not be asked to make an irreversible purchasing decision that affects future purchases before they've even seen the finished product. ### 3. The lack of transparency changed the entire session. Because I believed I would later choose only the images I wanted to purchase, we ended the session after about three hours. If I had known I would eventually have to spend **an additional $1,799** just to obtain digital images, I would have approached the session very differently. I would have wanted additional poses, more outfit changes, different backgrounds, and more variety to maximize the value of the gallery. The pricing structure fundamentally changes how a reasonable customer would use their session time. ### 4. The photography didn't match the premium pricing. Our photographer told us she had been with Cady for only two months. She was kind, but she was clearly inexperienced. More concerning, her flash failed during a significant portion of the session. Many of those images are essentially black, meaning we lost a meaningful number of photographs because of an equipment failure. That's not the level of quality I expect from a company charging premium prices. ### 5. The package information isn't transparent. The website and package descriptions do not clearly explain the restrictions on digital image purchases. A pricing limitation this significant should be impossible to miss. Customers should know exactly what they're committing to **before** they purchase a package, not discover it afterward. ### 6. My overall impression. Senior portraits are a once-in-a-lifetime milestone. Families deserve transparent pricing, enough information to make informed decisions, and the opportunity to view the finished portraits before making irreversible purchasing decisions. If you're considering Cady, ask detailed questions about digital image pricing before purchasing any package. Had I understood how the Elite package actually worked, I would have made a very different decision. read more

Rip Off. their business is based on suckering you to pay for package they send you. The prices are outrageous. The only option is more money. "Not good" is an UNFATHOMABLE understatement. If I could rate this absolutely awful place negative stars, I would because the price gouging is INSANE. They try to force you to pay an absurd amount of money for ALL the digital photos (upwards of 500 dollars), then tell you later in march that to get graduation photos, which already are implied to be included in the bundle for all digital photos, would be another 250-500 dollars as well. In total, they expect a payment close to 1300 dollars in just photos alone; mind you, this excludes more expensive editions as well as obtaining physical copies of the photos already taken. The fact that PGHS chose this location is mental. Do better. read more

This is the most predatory company I have ever experienced. Their VIP package is scam. If you sign up for it you have to purchase an almost $2000 digital image package to get any digital rights. Do you mind paying a substantial charge on top of the amount you already paid for a product, with the additional charge adding little value to the product? How about paying nearly twice the listed price? CADY offers something called "Artist's Touch" at $24.98 on top of the photo session charge. But there's more. For your student's high school graduation package, CADY offers the same "Artist's Touch" at $14.99 and $29.99 for a total of $44.97... on top of the package. Parents, do whatever it takes to - beg, borrow and steal - for your child's happiness. The county school district mandates it. Complaining won't do you any good. This has been a complete debacle from the beginning. When we showed up for our designated time to have our pictures taken, we ended up waiting an hour and a half before we even got started. After four hours being in the studio, which we had to drive an (hour plus to get to), like others have said we were ushered into the back room and hosed for an extra $200. And let me be completely frank. The shoot was like nothing I've ever seen. There were about 100 students standing around - parents upset, arms folded because nobody's getting called to take pictures and they don't seem to have a list to know where students are supposed to be and what pictures they're supposed to be taking. Absolute mayhem. As we did not want to make another hour trip back to look at pictures we opted to do a Zoom presentation. We have made FIVE zoom presentations and at no time have they ever shown up. Then they have the nerve to say since we didn't show up at the presentation that our deposit has been forfeited. Customer Service is absolutely deplorable. They read these terrible little scripts that literally do not solve any problems. The worst part about it is there's no phone number for the Franklin Tennessee studio. The number on the website does not work and Customer Service on the main number said that location does not have a phone number for parents to reach out for questions. I am highly disappointed that our school chose to work with this frustratingly unorganized company. If I could write this zero stars, I would. read more

Photos are incredibly overpriced, staff is pushy and customer service is so busy that you have to leave a number for them to call you back. I had to wait an hour for a call back and then spent 40 minutes on the phone because the rep couldn't understand English. For as much as they charge, they should be able to hire employees that speak and understand English. Would not recommend at all. You are forced to use them because that's who the school has chosen. You cannot opt out of the specialist who has to scam you through the presentation to try to upsell you. Not only expensive but a waste of time because the only other option is to prepay for photos you cannot see in advance and/or do a virtual one where you have to sit through a presentation that is like a time share scam. I am absolutely appalled by the pricing structure for senior pictures at CADY Studios. Like many parents, we booked CADY because they are the photographer associated with our high school. You pay a sitting/session fee, take the time to go through the entire senior-picture experience, and only afterward do you discover what it will actually cost to walk away with the photographs of your own child. Want the digital pictures? $1,800. Yes. EIGHTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS for the least expensive package that gives us the digital pictures we actually want. This isn't a wedding. There wasn't an eight-hour photographer, a second shooter, a venue, or hundreds of edited wedding photographs. These are high school senior pictures. What makes this especially frustrating is that families are funneled toward CADY through their schools. When a company has that kind of access to thousands of families celebrating a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, I would expect transparent, reasonable pricing--not a sales model where parents don't fully appreciate the real cost until after their child has already had the pictures taken. I have no problem paying a professional photographer fairly for their talent and time. I have paid for professional photography before. But $1,800 as the entry point to get the digital senior pictures we want is outrageous. If I had understood the actual cost of obtaining the digital images beforehand, I would have paid CADY only what was absolutely necessary for the yearbook photo and hired an independent local photographer for the senior portraits. Parents of upcoming seniors: DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU BOOK. Do not assume that paying for the photo session means you'll receive the photographs. Ask exactly what it will cost to obtain the digital images you want before your child ever steps into the studio. And high schools partnering with CADY should seriously reconsider whether this arrangement is serving their families or simply providing a captive customer base for an extraordinarily expensive photography business. read more

Very disappointing. I paid $30 for my daughter's senior session. They took several photos including cap and gown photos. They sent me a portfolio that I have to purchase or send back. This didn't even include any of the cap and gown pictures. When I go to order on the website there are only 4 packages to choose from, the lowest price being "build your own" for $179.99. There is nothing "build your own" about it, they tell you that you get "4 sheets" for that price and they don't even explain what the sheets include. I called and the customer service rep had no idea about anything. I was on hold for several minutes for her to come back and tell me that there are certain sizes in those sheets, one being an 8x10. I don't want an 8x10, I'd rather from smaller sizes. Not to mention that I cannot order any of the cap and gown pictures, those get sent out in the spring. So not only would I have to pay almost $200 now, I'd also have to pay probably almost the same about in the spring so I can have the additional pictures. Seriously ridiculous. So I basically paid $30 so my child can have her picture in yearbook. Very dissapointing. read more

I've 3 kids....two in college already. We have had a lot of school photos taken. This company and its photographer took some of the worst school photos I have ever seen. So glad my gut told me to order one single photo at first and more later if needed. I asked for a refund, got denied and offered another picture at retake pic day. My daughter said the photographer took 1 shot and even that was rushed. Unfortunately, the pic with her eyes partially closed is the one going in the yearbook. We waited 48 minutes after our appointment time before the photo session started. We were extremely disappointed in the lack of physical backgrounds and the use of furniture in the photos. I chose the "Timeless" background, because that is what suited my son's outfit and the vibe I wanted for his pictures. I requested that he be sitting in a chair that was in the studio. The staff fussed about the request, then said yes we could use the chair. I was not told that to use the chair that I could only have your awful, sterile, unflattering white background. The pictures were taken and I did not find out that my background choice was cancelled until we were checking out. When I told them that I would NEVER buy any portrait on a white background, I was told we could come back for a reshoot to be done with the background of my choice. We had been there over 2 hours at this point. I know the issue is a company policy problem, but the lack of communication was also an issue. I found the whole thing unacceptable, especially when they were trying hard to sell me an $80 discounted price from $379 for the digital portraits. Not only is that price obscene, but why would I buy any portrait at all if I cannot get the portraits that I want. I will not be buying your portraits. I will be taking my son to another studio where they use real backgrounds and real furniture, not this digital age garbage, where I can get the actual portrait that I want. I couldn't be more disappointed in CADY. read more

This company is a scam. We had to use them for our daughter's senior photos and paid over $100 just for the sitting fee. We received her portfolio last week with instructions to return it in 2 weeks or purchase a package and keep it for $99. We purchased a package, assuming we would get the portfolio for the $99. We tried to chat with the company, but their hours were ridiculous. Their AI bot couldn't answer our questions. We went ahead and purchased the package but still couldn't figure out how to get the portfolio for $99. I spent nearly two hours on a chat trying to figure out how to fix this only to be told that we didn't click the correct button and now we can pay $149 plus tax and shipping for the portfolio or we will be charged $200 plus tax and shipping if we don't return it in the next 10 days. Don't book its overpriced and underwhelming Booked a session because they're the ONLY ones who take the yearbook pictures for Walnut Grove HS. After a schedule change with both text and email confirmation, we get to the school to find the kids (yeah cause it's a bunch of kids who take the pictures like an apprenticeship) packed up. They finished their last session at 3:00pm when our session was booked for 4:15PM. I tried to call a local person but ofc they have an overseas customer service, so you'll never get a hold of someone especially when time is of the essence. Pricing is for example 1 iphone sticker size picture for 15.00 or 300 wallets for 275.00 and you get one pose but if you spend 800 you get 4 poses. You kid gets to stand around while a bunch of other kids wait for the same scenes so it's not personal. If you get someone good taking the pictures for the first scenes they swap them with another person even if you don't want to. read more

1 Star is accurate because 0 is unavailable. Absolutely and unequivocally DO NOT waste your time and money with CADY. Strategically set to take advantage of students and parents. DO NOT spend money on hair, nails, additional items as they photos are all inclusive. You eaither by a $1100 package or nothing in the beginning! Before graduation they offer special packages of which at minimum one photo is $150 for 2 sheets, no digital. THE BIGGEST RIP OFF! THEY GET ALL OF THERE MONEY BY SUCKERING FAMILIES TO BELIEVE PACKAGES WILL BE AFFORDABLE THEN IT IS ALL OR NOTHING AT ABOUT $1100. Even the presenter stated "I just work here, sorry!" Better off hiring a photographer to take photos. THE REVIEWS SPEAK VOLUME! It was so disheartening seeing happy seniors go into the studio with the additional props and hair and make up looking amazing to have to endure straight bullshit. As if seniors don't have enough to worry about to then be disappointed because photos are so epensive. Sure some people can afford but almost guaranteed that 90% or less did not purchase packages and just used the minimum $150 senior photo. SHAME ON YOU CADY! Greed at its best! read more

If you love the aggressively sales-driven, inauthentic, fake, uncomfortable energy of a car dealership, Cady Studios is like that... except you can't leave and go somewhere else because for some godforsaken reason, the schools have a contract here. The entire experience felt gross. Every aspect of it is designed to pressure you/TRICK YOU into spending more money, and the ordering process is absolutely a bait and switch. They schedule too many kids at one time and don't have enough photographers. Multiple parents had arguments at the front desk while we were there. We really liked photographer Janelle, and she did a great job, but that was literally the only thing about this process that wasn't disgusting. Cady, look at your rating. Parents hate you. This process is embarrassingly impersonal, careless, and flagrantly all about money and nothing else. This time should feel special, and you ruin it. Do better. read more

If I could give CADY zero stars, I would. This company has been a complete rip‑off from start to finish. Their prices are outrageously high for what you actually get, and the customer service is some of the worst I've encountered--unhelpful, dismissive, and nearly impossible to reach when you need something resolved. Our school deserves better, and I genuinely hope they discontinue working with this company. There are so many talented private photographers who provide better quality, better service, and far better value. Save yourself the frustration and the money--hire a private photographer and submit your own photos to the yearbook instead. CADY has turned what should be a fun, memorable experience into an overpriced, stressful mess. Avoid if you can. read more

Our experience here was not a fun one. Firstly, we entered and it all was very chaotic and busy. My sister, who was getting her senior pictures done, had paid extra to get her hair done there. She had a makeup artist and hair stylist attending to her. However, the makeup artist did not seem to know what she was doing with the hair and ending up burning my sister's scalp in 2 places. She was too shy to say much but was in pain and did tell her that she was hurting her. This made the rest of her experience awful as her scalp was still intensely burning during the session. She now has painful scabs that could have been easily avoided. Additionally, the place was still overcrowded and very unorganized. Took a long time to get each set of pictures done. Cady's picture packages are also so overpriced to where you have to pay 1799 for one package and just okay quality photos. We didn't buy the pictures because that was way out of our price range and it's ridiculous that the schools force students to use this place. We're ended up using another photographer. Cady, please hire better experienced artists and change up how you run your studio. I never want to come back here. read more

If I could, I'd give it 0 reviews. Grossly understaffed, absolutely unprofessional place. Plus don't forget they save your CC on file. I called CADY to take it out of my profile. Terrible placement of the CADY logo in the bottom right corner of the pictures which in the layout we got for my 9th grade daughter's school photos, make it look like a tattoo on her arm. TRUST me. do not fall for their "most popular" or "elite" photo sessions unless you want to spend $1800+ dollars on digitals and like one framed photo. absolutely RIDICULOUS. yes, i understand there's a contract and at first glance their pricing might seem like the average price you pay for a session but there are so many hidden fees later on. there are so many amazing photographers nearby for your other senior photos. read more

Meh. Cady produces *okay* quality photos (I mean, they're school photos - so the images look very "get 'em in, get 'em out"...generally, they're fine for what they are), but they're customer service experience is not great, and their website keeps kicking me out of my account, so my information needs to be entered every time I order (for two different students). I've ordered school photos from this company, as this is the company our school continues to choose, and for three years, I've had to enter my shipping/billing and credit card info line-by-line every time for each student. And I cannot place an order for two students at the time. Seems strange that a digital imaging company would have such crummy online tools that don't allow a more streamlined ordering process? I tried to book a professional photographer at that point, but no one had availability that could meet the yearbook submission deadline. I didn't receive the proof portfolio until the week of Thanksgiving. I went online to choose his portrait and it had already been chosen. Of course, they chose the one picture that we didn't want. Terrible Experience After a Great Start - Disappointed and Misled! On July 13, I took my senior to CADY Studio for his yearbook pictures. The session itself was great -- the photographer was amazing, fun, and kind -- 10/10 for that part of the experience. But everything went downhill after the shoot. As we were leaving, a young lady at the front asked if I wanted to upgrade to receive all the digital photos. I specifically asked if the $160 upgrade included every picture taken that day, and both she and the photographer clearly said yes -- all the pictures. Fast forward to July 17, I check my email expecting a full gallery of images, and instead I receive only 10 photos -- and not even the ones we would have chosen! To make matters worse, the photos include ones of me, even though I had told the photographer that this session was about my son and I did not want to be in the final selection. I immediately reached out via chat and was connected to Edward T, who spent an hour chatting with me just to tell me that I had only paid for 10 pictures, that there's no refund, no exchange, and "nothing he can do." All I could get was a promise that someone from their "escalation team" would call me in 24-48 hours, only to likely tell me the same thing. So here I am, out $160, with pictures I didn't choose, of a session that was supposed to be about my son, selected by some mysterious "quality control team" without my input. This is beyond frustrating -- it's misleading and disrespectful to customers. We should have the right to choose which photos we want, especially when we're paying this much. It's my son, his senior year -- he deserves to look and feel his best in the pictures we keep forever. Bottom line: CADY Studio may know how to take a good photo, but their customer service, communication, and sales tactics absolutely suck. Be VERY careful if you choose to upgrade -- you may not get what you were promised. read more
