I recently went to get some nice pictures taken of me and my brother for my mom for Christmas. I've gotten pictures taken before from places like Portrait Innovations and other private photographers. Seeing as this place was the most convenient for us, we decided to try it out. I will admit I was a little apprehensive at first since this place was located in a baby store and me and my brother were older, but the lady (Val) that took our photos was extremely nice and professional. We were able to select from an assortment of really nice prints. On their website, they have a bundle package deal where you can choose an extra photo and get it printed in several sizes for an extra $18. read more

Horrible service. Val was so mean. This is the third time we've used her, and this time I left in tears. We tipped her $20 last time hoping she would be a little nicer to us next time, but that did not happen, so we are officially done with Picture People after this last experience. I told her the look I was going for and showed her a picture that I wanted to replicate. She forced my baby to do poses, backgrounds, and props that I said were not to my taste. I came in with very specific and clear desires that she completely ignored. When I would ask her not to use a certain prop, she gave me terrible attitude even though I couldn't have been more kind. I can't count how many times she huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes. My baby fed off her bad attitude, and the photo session was ruined. Save your money. Go elsewhere. read more

They don't tell you that you get 20 minutes. Then snap pictures of poses you never asked for and rush you out. I watched the photographer take pictures of my husband and 4 kids wondering why is she doing that? And then our session was up. I was still there for 2 hours waiting on 1 pose to be printed. I finally received a call back. The slates were shipped to their destinations and a new one ordered to replace the damaged one. They will arrive late because of the delay, however I must say that until the slates arrived at my home I was very happy with my experience at Picture People. On a weekday afternoon there was no wait, the photographer was excellent, and the pictures and Christmas cards were printed while I waited. read more

Worst customer service. If you want reprints, they never answer the phone and when you arrive, if you don't have an appointment, they either ignore you or you wait for someone to show up to the desk, I don't think an employee is here during their posted business hours!! read more

Yesterday was my 4th time using them in 7 months and they are great! The first 2 young ladies I worked with were very personable and accommodating to unpredictable babies and children. They are very patient and didn't get flustered when one of their appointments came early with a large party of people wanting to be photographed. The next 2 times I had different people and the service was just as great. Unfortunately when there's one person on duty, things can move a little slower and when you can have very picky customers, you get behind, but the lady working handled 3 customers in different stages of the process all at the same time and did it with friendliness, patience and professionalism. She even stayed a little later to make sure we got the pictures and packages that we wanted and explained everything. I also LOVE that you can get your pictures back in about an hour and the quality it amazing. I highly recommend Picture People in BuyBuy Baby in North Point. read more

Scheduled appointment and had to wait over 30 min for photo session. In a location that caters to children this is unacceptable. My kids were so exhausted from waiting, the photos they took were awful, resulting in a total waste of time. Instead of trying to "fit" in as many people as possible... Try setting realistic photo times so you have happy customers that actually purchase the pics you take. If you have children under 5 avoid this location unless you are the first appointment time. read more

Sometimes they get some really nice shots, but they're so rushed that usually I'm not happy with the pics. It's ok when you're in a jam and want some quick milestone or holiday photos done, but I would never go here for anything important. You can't rush babies! read more

I went in with very low expectations and was still disappointed. We normally use a professional photographer that is a close friend for all our pictures, but she is pregnant and hasn't been feeling well and I didn't want to bother her to take our first holiday family photo given our time crunch. I figured a nice staged photo would do just fine for our first Christmas card and we would go back to using her for future ones. First off, our session was SUPER rushed. I didn't realize when I booked a time that there was only one studio space and that our session would be only 20 minutes long. That is not long enough to get even a few good photos. The girl ended up taking about 10 pictures, of which only 3 were really usable, and even those weren't great, they were just the best out of the 10. What made me angry was that our first photo would have made the perfect Christmas card, however the girl had told my husband to angle his neck down towards us and he ended up looking psycho in the picture while my son and myself had perfect smiles. So that picture was unusable. The others were ok, but my son's smile wasn't great in them like the first one had been. The photographer should have seen the odd angle on my husband when she took the first picture, corrected it and tried again. This happened with numerous other pictures. They had the potential to be cute, but she didn't bother to tell me to smooth my hair or pull my shirt down or try harder for a smile from my son who is normally very very smiley. Maybe they should put a mirror opposite you, so you can see how you look if the photographer isn't going to bother fixing the little things. It all comes down to the sessions being too short. Ours started about 15 minutes late too, so the next group behind us was also 15 minutes late etc etc. The sessions should be 1 hour. They can then still only take the 10 photos, but there would be more time to make sure they get actual usable photos. I ended up just buying the disc so I could take my time editing the photos and ordering what I wished. But even that was a rip off at $150 and I couldn't even use a promotion coupon they had at the time. We won't be using the Picture People ever again. read more

*** Thanks for spoiling my 5 months daughters FIRST Valentine ****. We spent at least 5-6 hours shopping VD dress for her and also shopped absolute match for us. Spent 2+ hours to make my daughter ready for picture session. At this age you have to follow there routine still we made sure that she is awake and fresh at the given time slot by making some alteration in her daily routine. We reached there fully dressed up. When we were about to go in, we realizes that we left her hair bands in the car. We requested if we can have 2 mins to get that quickly for which they gracefully said OK. After all it was her first VD and we didn't want to miss anything. That 2 min turned out to be cancellation of my time slot without informing me. There was a family sitting with no appointment and since I asked for 2 mins, they asked me if they can quickly get other family in. As a gentleman I said yes but I wasn't told doing that means giving up my slot. I was literally astonished when we came back only to be told that I gave up my time slot. When I questioned, why I wasn't told about it, they started the blame game that I was late for my appointment. After all this discussion my baby was asleep and that made it even worse. I AM NEVER GOING TO USE EVER for spoiling my daughters first VD. By the way when I asked if I can use my camera to take picture inside the store I was told by her that it will be a copyright infringement any where in the store premises. Then I went and spoke to few other store executive and they said its absolutely fine to take picture inside. You can sense what this executive was upto. ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTING. read more

I have been there in Picture People, Buy Buy Baby Alpharetta, GA location on 22nd Apr 2017 . They don't tell you that you get 20 minutes. Then snap pictures of poses you never asked for and rush you out. I watched the photographer take pictures of my wife and daughter wondering why is she doing that? We went there specially for broken egg picture because of Easter. Such a horrible photo, no perspective and no focus. Waste of our time and money too. I also went with low expectations and was disappointed. The girls who did the shoot were friendly enough but the main girl who did our photos, it seemed like her first day on the job. We were rushed through our session, my daughters were a little overwhelmed with what was going on and one of the girls was really pushy about getting me to get them to smile, I kinda felt like part of a circus act... But the worst part was the quality of photos. They print them out while you wait, and I had to tell the girl she needed to reposition almost every photo because someone's foot or head was cropped. On a sheet of 4x6s they weren't even lined up the same so each photo had different spacing meaning some shots had my daughter's head right on the edge, some it was 1/4" below, some had random white spaces below or above and some even had the edge of the backdrop in the frame, which she assured me wouldn't be in the frame once printed... but it was. After 2 hours and several sheets reprinted I just wanted to get out of there. Oh, and on one sheet, my daughter's bright pink outfit was hot pink, like electric pink, like their printer needed to be recalibrated and the girl acted like it looked completely normal. This place makes JC Pennies seem couture. Won't go back. read more
