We go to Cactus Grill all the time and they never disappoint! The food is always incredible, the staff and great, attentive, and some of the best people you will ever be around! I can't recommend this place enough!! If I could give it 6 stars, I would!

Haven't experienced service like this in quite a while like we did from our server Scott and the kitchen. The food and the service was outstanding. We ordered the fried pickles & onion rings and the best part was that they gave the perfect amount of dipping sauce. Per Scott's reccomendation we ordered the 1/2 rack rib & crab cake combo and the Chicken & Waffles. The ribs were fall off the bone and the waffle warm and mapley!! The sides were simply but unique with actual fresh veggies and delicious seasoned potatoes. We will deffinatley be coming back!

Delicious! Post hike snack. Good bar food, good service. Nothing special. You get what you pay for. Good place to go with friends for a casual drink or snack.

Driving around the Pocono's today visiting some wineries and on our way home we just pulled into the Cactus Grill because of its outside decorations. As we parked I was not sure about the place, however while walking up it was clean outside and decorated for Halloween nicely. As we walked in we were greeted by and very nice host and being it was the eve of Halloween the staff were in their costumes. The place was kind of dark inside but had a rustic decor. The majority of customers were definitely locals because they too were all dressed. I believe I sat next to Alice Cooper or the Mad Hatter we orders a salad and full rack of ribs. The salad was just basic not to much to brag about. The full rack of ribs were nicely done falling off the bone with a good BBQ taste. During the evening a DJ came on and people were on the dance floor. At about 8pm the crowd started to come and the party began. All in all it was an awesome experience and the food was really good

The food was acceptable as was the service. The problem was that the restaurant was cold enough for us to wear our jackets during the meal.

It was a gorgeous early September afternoon special made for a open window stereo blazing cruise in the rolling Bucks countryside. I was in a good mood. Driving up 611 north of Doylestown with the GPS alerting me that I was at my destination, I still did not recognize it at first. There is a small cabin on wheels sitting in the middle of the rocky parking lot, with a fruit stand on one side, and a puppy barn on the other. That trailered shack was Oink's. The front porch of the structure has two large BBQ grills, a large menu nailed to the wall. Took a few seconds to get oriented, especially when this big fella with a white apron and big white mustache came over and looked down at me and said: "What'll it be, young feller?" "Well, sir. I can't decide 'tween the Pulled Pork and the Brisket. What do ya think?" "They're both lip smackin' good, my man. Can't go wrong with either." Ok. I was hooked by ol' Oink's charm even before I made a choice. This guy and the whole set up was right out of a Michener novel. I was game to play my role. Two of his buddies sat to the side of the shack under an old beer company umbrella watching this transaction. I looked over to greet them with a reference to the weather, and they chawed back that maybe I should get one of both the pork and brisket. Nice upsell, gents. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich, BBQ Beans and Corn Bread. Oink disappeared into the enclosed portion of the hut on wheels to make his magic. He appeared a few minutes later with a large white paper wrapped package that seemed too big to be a Sammy. I couldn't see what was in it, which was just slightly troubling, but this man had such an aura of confidence that I let it slide thinking I was probably missing the point of just knowing it would be great without a need for a visual. This place is strictly take out, so although I would have preferred to enjoy my BBQ on site, I had to take with and drive back home to eat it. No biggie. Upon unwrapping the creation I found it was indeed a huge quantity of meat, but the roll had been saturated with pork and BBQ juices, and was too wet to eat. I ate the pork with a fork. It was tender and juicy, yet the BBQ flavor was not very strong, and it was a bit salty for my palate. The Beans were richly dark brown, heavy with molasses and chunks of fat back bacon. Excellent. The Corn Bread in the form of a muffin was good, but not overly sweet nor moist. If I could give a grade just for personality and appearance, Oink Johnson would be a 5 Star experience. But, as the Pulled Pork was not as good as others I have eaten, and the roll was a total loss, the food comes in at 2 Stars for me. I will get back there eventually to try the ribs and brisket, but I am disappointed by the lack of "Zing" in the Pulled Pork. Still, I recommend stopping in as the characters are wonderful, the locale very pretty farmland, and the food worth a sampling.

The inside was clean with plenty of table seating, a small square bar and some high top tables. The inside was a little dated but still charming for an old inn. Our server was prompt, friendly and wasn't afraid to make some suggestions. Their menu is Italian so you have chicken, fish, pork and veal dishes with pasta. They also include a bar menu for sandwiches and pizza. I noticed a lot of people coming in for pizza so I ordered a small personal. My oldest ordered a cheeseburger and my wife the Chicken Marsala. They started us off with some warm bread. Drink wise they have a full bar. I had a Stillwater IPA on draft, my wife enjoyed their cucumber martini (she recommends it) and my son was loving their hot chocolate. The pizza was thin, cheese and sauce ratio just right, cheese little sweet and not too stringy. Sauce was a little sweet and seasoned. I'd say it was above average. My wife enjoyed the Chicken Marsala. It was a big portion, so be prepared for leftovers. The burger was decent, but nothing special. My wife ordered potato's for one side and asked for the spinach as a second. The spinach had some heat from red pepper flakes that I was digging. My wife could have done without it. They had an acoustic guitar player in the bar area who was playing some good tunes. We will repeat when we are in the area and I'll dive deeper into their Italian grub. Thanks guys!
