WOW! I decided to order delivery to my house from here one day and it was so good. The burrito was super filling, the salsas were incredible and their corn chowder soup was just chef's kiss! Their tortilla chips are different from other restaurants and I find them to be a lot better tasting. I have not actually been into the location so I cannot tell about the service or the building itself, but I passed by it quite often and it just looks like a little fun place to hang out. read more

I've been here a couple times and the food has always been pretty good. I decided to order something different this time and the enchilada had barely any meat. It said it came with peppers and onions, but it came with a few tiny specks of green pepper. I feel like the cost of the food vs the quantity of the protein and vegetable just wasn't justified. There has been other times as well when I paid for guacamole to be added to the burrito but the portion size again just wasn't there. I will say the fries are good though. read more

Amazing food for unbeatable prices. My family and I are in love with their Peruvian rotisserie chicken and delicious yellow hot sauce. The spices are perfect and the meat just falls off the bone. The whole chicken meal with four gigantic side platters (take your pick of rice, black or refried beans, salad, and mixed roasted veggies) is more than enough to feed four people- for only $26!!!! Inside it's super bright and colorful, yet cozy, and there is surprisingly a lot of seating available. Sadly, I had to subtract a star from my review because I ordered food through Yelp tonight and it was a complete mess. The food was horribly packaged in aluminum/plastic takeout containers and my black beans spilled all over everything else in the flimsy plastic bag. I live near Medford, so I've gone to that cactus Café for over 16 years with no problems ever, and if there was anything that was wrong I always either got a refund or a new item. This is my first time in the new Huntington location, it was between that and pizza because I only had a small break before I continue to work for a few hours. I usually order nachos on DoorDash, but decided to order nachos to go this day. when I got them they had already been assembled and I said that I thought they were supposed to be all individually package so they don't get soggy. He said no we don't do that unless it's for a delivery service, I said well I still have to work a few hours, is it possible to put them in separate containers because they're just gonna get soggy before I get to eat them. He said no then we'd be losing money, I said but I paid $15 for these and I'm not gonna be able to eat them because they're going to be soggy. he said no once again and said that I should understand because they would be losing money. Little did he know this is the only out meal I've had in the last several months because I've been financially struggling, and now I have to eat soggy nachos. Not to mention that when I was in there no one greeted me for a good while and then when they were done taking an order they just look at me like go ahead order and don't say hello how can I help you or anything like that. It was the worst experience I've ever had at cactus Café, and I had to wait almost 20 minutes for nachos. I will only be visiting Medford from now on, but I thought that was very unacceptable. Gave the new Jericho Tpk location a try. I was completely underwhelmed. The Carne asada was tough, burrito bowl ridiculously small portion for 15 bucks. Left out two side dishes from my take out order. Shrimp quesadilla was descent, good flavor but totally soggy when i got it home. You are better off going to chipotle which is right down the road. Before posting this review, I was curious if other people have had the same experience. And the answer is yes. Multiple reviews that are not positive. Mention the food is not hot. In addition when I told the person that the food wasn't hot, he stood there, feeling the bottom of the dish. Instead of just saying sorry, will fix it. He tells me we don't have a microwave and we have to make a new one. I shrugged because I'm not sure if that's my problem. There was a bit of an attitude, but maybe he was having a bad day. I got a burrito bowl. The shrimp burrito was also not particularly hot, but the person I was with ate that. The food was also not particularly flavorful. Been waiting for this place to open and surely was not disappointed. Went for lunch and got their $10 lunch combo for 2 tacos w/ rice and beans and can of soda. Good portion of rice and beans, standard rice and refried beans but it was perfect size and tex mex style to pair with tacos. I had the Chorizo and brisket (also got an extra of the crispy chicken) and all were full of flavor and warm/fresh. Only thing I would note is that they serve the tacos with 2 tortillas since the sauces and weight tend to rip through one, which is fine but if you're already eating a lot of food the extra carbs and calories of tortilla may be unwarranted to some. Also tried the small chips and cheese sauce and it was NOT small! Enough cheese sauce for two-three people for sure!
