Front desk and aesthetician (Amber) both treated me well and seemed to have great costumer service. About 24 hours after my wax I noticed some very irritated spots on my bikini line. I followed the healing instructions given to me by Amber, assuming because I have sensitive skin maybe my healing would be a longer process. Day three following the wax I woke up to severe marks with severe pain. Researching it myself it seemed to be a burn. At this point I was not upset with Amber or the company, things happen and I was very understanding. I simply want to make sure I was not going to scar and was also wanting advice on how to treat it because I was in pain. I called the store with the intentions of asking the professional for advice and guidance on how to handle this. I am not an aesthetician and have zero knowledge on this process. First the receptionist, was kind letting me know Amber had left for the day but she will call me first thing in the morning. I was shocked when the receptionist told me to "treat it like any other burn" feeling as if she blew me off and did not show any compassion I told her I was upset with how she spoke to me. She quickly apologized saying she was not educated on this and that she did not mean to come across that way. The next day I got a call from Amber, she immediately was defensive telling me that "my wax was not even hot that day" and "this has never happened to me, so I'm don't know how this happened" I told her I was simply looking for guidance because this was very painful and I was concerned about scaring. Amber responded with "I guess put neosporin on it and avoid tight clothing." She not one time asked to see photos or even to see me. I then began to get emotional, and told her I was very disappointed because all I wanted was her help through this. She responded with "I told you to put neosporin on it, I'm not sure what else you want me to say" I let her know as the professional I wish she could assist me in helping the injury she caused me. I paid for a service and got hurt, I think any company or licensed professional would show compassion and want to help the client they injured. I was very upset so I said ok thank you and ended the call. Still in pain and visually very unhappy with how my body looked I contacted another licensed aesthetician, simply for advice. The first thing this professional asked me was to see a picture so she could help figure out what was going on. She then informed me it does not look like a burn but instead something called "lifting" as well as bad bruising. She talked me through how this can happen to someone and let me know how to treat it and that it should only go on for another 6 days or so. I am so disappointed in "Brazilian beekini wax" as a company. I am not upset about the injury because things happen, but I am upset with how I was spoken too and how there was zero compassion and zero care for my body or safety. Instead they gaslit me making me feel stupid and as if it was my fault that my skin reacted this way. I never once asked for a refund, I was even going to return I simply was looking for help and care from the person responsible and the licensed professional that I trusted with my body. I tried to reach out to owner/manager privately and not run to help, however I have been ignored. I truly hope they don't make anyone else feel this way. These are photos of my body 3 days after the wax. It is currently 7 days and the redness is down but skin is peeling and severe itch. I'm hoping there is now scaring, and I'm left very disappointed and let down.

Well, fast forward into my 40s, I start to realize that I need a little more help in looking my best and start to see the value of getting them. Between working night shift, not getting enough sleep, and just everyday stress in general, it really starts to show on my skin and I don't quite bounce back the way I used to, so facials are a great way to help brighten my complexion. I was introduced to Glomour Medispa thanks to a yelpie event (because I can always count on Yelp to introduce me to some of the best experiences) and I was so impressed with the service and results of the most basic facial, that I decided to come back. Angela is great to work with, easy going, and listened to me about what my needs and goals were for my facial. (A big plus is that she's a fellow RN, so I know she REALLY understands the specific in the self-care department for people like me, lol). She helps but me at ease and explains every step of what we're doing throughout the process. Facials are a nice blend of relaxation, aromatherapy, and some "me-time" meditation when I'm letting the masks settle into my skin. I've getting facials semi-regularly since then. Nice little treat and you really see the benefits the next day. Sure, it's a luxury, but I've only got one face, so I may as well take care of it.

It was as if I hadn't missed a beat. Great staff, cool vibe, relaxing atmosphere. The variety of services is always a draw. Tiara made me comfortable, explained my treatment and the aftercare so I was relaxed knowing I was in her competent hands.

I walked in the front desk lady looked miserable. I then went into the services and explained to the waxer that I am prone to I grown hairs and other places often use a soft wax. Her reply was "okay, all of our wax is gynecologist certified". I reiterated and asked if they had a soft wax and she replied with "you can get undressed from the waist down. I knew I should have left then. She proceeds to do nearly my whole upper lip in one go. It hurt worse then any other place I've done to. Most likely because she did the lip in one rip with hard wax. I've been getting waxed for 14 years and have never had my lip waxed like that or that aggressive. Then we moved to the brows. The waxer did not ask how i wanted them done, if i wanted them cleaned up, or trimmed. She just went straight to trimming. I looked in the mirror after the brow and upper lip to notice my eyebrows are completely uneven and she took off so much hair between my eyebrows. My left eyebrow is a quarter shorter then my right. I was in pure shock and knew there was nothing I could do to fix it. Then we go to my Brazilian. I'm thinking "okay, this may be better then the brows and lip". Wrong!! The whole time she complained about my skin and how it's not working with the wax. I could tell she was struggling but she sure made it seem like it was all my fault. Great customer service. She also did the butt strip and one rip. She told me that was the end of my service and I replied with " you completed the back in one rip?". She said "yup" . When I finally made it home, I showered and confirmed that she missed so much hair and there was a ton of hard wax left in all areas of my Brazilian. DO NOT GO TO THE DT TAMPS LOCATION!!!

I really hate to leave this review but it has to be said. My waxer Ellie was extremely inappropriate, hostile and rude my first appointment. She was ok until I told her that I just moved from NY- then her attitude switched and she started to make comments that made me extremely uncomfortable including: The technique they use in NY sucks and they can never get all the hair out of the butt in a Brazilian. (Lies because my NY esthetician is amazing and never leaves 1 hair behind.) She's sick of people moving to Tampa from other places. She referred to people who move to FL as "criminals" and said we are committing crimes and making the area unsafe, and then people blame Floridians. People who move to FL are overpopulating the city and creating terrible traffic. NYC is disgusting and stinks, she doesn't know how anyone can live there. Comments about Spanish speaking people being rude. Then said I NEEDED products to correct my brown "hyper-pigmented" skin. Excuse me Ellie, I'm a black woman, my skin and vagina are brown. Please understand what hyperpigmentation is before telling someone they have it just to upsell products. Brown skin/vaginas does not automatically mean hyperpigmentation. Even if you truly feel this way, be professional enough to keep your mouth shut and not say these things to a first time customer at this location. This is never a way to treat a paying and tipping customer!! They say New Yorkers are rude but I have never experienced anything like this at a NY EWC. Against my better judgement I came back to her because I was desperate and really couldn't find anyone else. Plus I have a wax pass that I needed to use up. This time, she was nicer, but like the first time, the wax was not good. She waxed the same areas multiple times to try and remove the hair, yet hair was still left behind. After talking badly about the NY technique for the butt strip, she still left quite a bit of hair in my butt. Ironic. I left feeling like I shaved rather than waxed because I felt small, stubbly hairs in some areas rather than feeling smooth. Respectfully, I do not think Ellie is very experienced with working with brown skin tones. She really thought she did an excellent job yet couldn't tell she left hair behind. My skin was also super red and irritated because of all the waxing she did over the same areas, and when I got home there was spots of blood in my panties, meaning she ripped my skin. I've never experienced this. Lastly parking sucks in the area. Save yourself the headache. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this location. I'm trying to find a good esthetician at a EWC in Tampa to finish off my wax pass and then I most likely will not renew and find a whole new place to wax. So disappointing after being a EWC customer for years and having wonderful experiences.

I was taking in promptly at my appointment time. I received a 1-hour deep tissue massage. My massage therapist was Jeanette. She met with me before the massage started and asked me about problem areas that she needed to concentrate on and she also encouraged me to communicate with her about the pressure during the massage to ensure that I got the massage experience that I wanted. She provided tips including sitting positions, stretches, and self massage to keep problem areas from being too much of a problem. The massage was great and my body feels completely relaxed. I also received a one hour facial with one of their estheticians Aaliyah. I would have liked for her to do some pore extraction on my chin too and I will remind her if I were to meet with her the next time. My face does feel amazing. I even dozed off a couple of times. LOL:-) The decor is simple, clean, and relaxing. I enjoyed it. Oh, there is no parking on Kennedy so you have to go down one of the side streets to get in the parking lot directly behind the spa. There's ample parking. I would come back again. Happy pampering!

We booked facial and massage packages for 6 people. We were offered 1/2 hour massage and 1/2 hour facial for each person for a total of $272. Because 1 person was unable to attend due to flooding from the hurricane, I asked if we could add her 1/2 hour for the bride-to-be, as I would still be charged for the services. that became chaos as no one understood what I was asking. The first 2 facials were fine, after that, the other 3 did not have their entire face done. Their hair was not pulled back and only the lower half of the face was massaged. So... only 2 of 5 were adequate. The massages were awful! No one was satisfied!! 1 customer, a larger girl, was asked if she was pregnant (She's 50), and another was told she had a weird name and was asked who would give her a name like that. (Her name is Tammy). The massage therapist was rude and rough. The massages were not relaxing or consistent. 1 family member didn't even get a massage! She was told she would have to wait until after other customers were taken care of. I paid for aroma therapy for everyone, an additional $15. The "aroma therapy" consisted of the massage therapist (if you can call her that) shaking the essential oil out of the bottle on the arm of the customer after the massage. No one got the scent they requested. I requested eucalyptus and received the lemongrass someone else requested shaken onto me. Not at all worth the $15 per person!!!!!!! I was still willing to pay because I requested the "upgrade". We thought they were doing us a favor by giving us 1/2 hour for each at a lower price, $54.50 for each person (the package usually costs $109 for a 1-hour massage and a 1-hour facial). When I went to pay, they tried to charge me for the full hour for each of us. 3 should have been charged 69.50 (25-minute facial, 25-minute massage, "aroma therapy" upgrade), 1 should have been charged $27.25 (she only received a 25-minute facial; no massage, no "aroma therapy" and the bride-to-be should have been $124 (1-hour facial, 1-hour massage, "aroma therapy"). upon check out, I was initially charged nearly $600!! They refused to charge us the initial price of $272 for the group. I paid $387 for horrible service!! The receptionist had no idea what she was doing. I also want to mention that there were ants in both the lobby/waiting room as well as the massage room. I am disgusted and want to warn anyone considering this place to find somewhere else!
