The best part is when you cancel your insurance halfway through the month they don't wanna prorate you. They just snatched the money up. This is such a great reputable company. I hope they get shut down soon. Keep in mind you get what you pay for. It's best just to stay with the big names at least they don't screw you over like this bullshit company.

I said I was only interested in Auto insurance. He said "then we're probably not a good fit for you" and that was it, silence, no explanation. I was completely shocked and speechless for a few secs. I then proceeded to end the call. A true "never again" example if I ever saw one. Horrible business model and a very unfriendly approach to potential new customers.

We were referred here by an old colleague. When we were a new client, Thomas Ward Agency INC got us…read morea really good rate on our condo master policy. For a few years since, our insurance rates rose aggressively. I've asked for new quotes but I get a lot of "others are coming back higher" or "we're still waiting on another quote" and this year I got ignored completely while my phone calls never got returned. However my cancellation email was responded to in a timely manner. I went to another broker: over 40% off this year's renewal rate (felt so cheap we even added 10% coverage but we were under covered before). The only explanation I can come up with is they aren't into brokering condo insurance (anymore?) and they didn't care whether I stayed with them or paid an obscene rate.

The credit card I use tp pay got scammed and I emailed to please contact me....I thought since they were a busy agency that was a polite way to contact them. WAS I WRONG! In the mail today came a cancellation of my auto insurance!! This is after I paid more for homeowners insurance thru them than city property taxes. Yes, I called immediately and solved it but I guess they couldn't be bothered to contact me OR return my email. So much for loyalty . Looks like all these reviews are old...so here is one for 2026..when we need loyalty more than ever. I asked for an explanation and /or an apology...did I get one? NO! Am I to be a customer still..I don't think so..

Pretend that you really care. Address customer concerns. Simply returning calls. I was a loyal…read morecustomer for approximately 20 years, never filed a claim, always paid full payment at the beginning of each renewal cycle. Unfortunately a mistake was made by their office and it resulted in my losing a $500 discount, I called the office and tried to resolve the issue but was constantly told we are working on it. I realized the employees of the agency had no interest in helping instead were probably hoping I would get tired of calling and forget about the money. It was then as a business owner myself that I realized I should just speak directly with Joe Schneider, the agency owner and hopefully reach some sort of settlement. I spent the next 2 months writing and or calling the agency. Each time only requesting to speak with Mr. Schneider. I was told he wasn't in the office, and he would get back to me. He even sent several emails saying he realized his office made a mistake and he would call within the week. Each time he didn't call. After almost 3 months he finally called and apologized for the delay and acknowledging he could have done better. Unfortunately they were never able to compensate for the lost discount. I understand the process and I can understand the inability to reach a resolution but I cannot understand why an owner of a business would not at least call a loyal and respectful customer. Especially one who was frustrated by not, at least, being able to talk with the boss (owner) about this. I can accept the loss of the discount but I cannot accept the fact that the owner Joe Schneider wouldn't at least talk to me. Imagine if I had a real problem. I expect a certain minimum amount of customer service and I was very sorry to see that after being a good customer for 20 years. There are a lot of Allstate agencies I will transfer my account to another one. Hopefully they will appreciate their commission and provide at least a minimum of customer service. I would not recommend Joe Schneider agency at all. They are only to happy to write a policy but not willing to at least to pretend they care about the customer. Or provide a minimum of customer service such as returning phone calls in a timely manner.

I've lived in Edgewater for 40 years, and Karen Ayers is widely respected here--not just for her…read morebusiness, but for how she supports our community's diversity. I have been a client of hers for 25 years, and she is truly the best in the business. We started with a basic renter's policy and, as life progressed, Karen handled everything from our auto insurance to our homeowners and landlord liability once we purchased our apartment building. As a landlord, I require my tenants to carry renters' insurance; it is so affordable for the safety it provides. While I don't mandate that they use Karen, I've never had a tenant decline her services when I suggest her office. For many, it's their first time dealing with insurance, which can be overwhelming. Karen provides me with professional "getting started" packets for prospective tenants, and the feedback I receive is that the info is very helpful during the stress of moving. She makes the process easy to understand as they begin their journey toward financial safety. On the rare occasion we've had to file a claim, Karen's office provides true "white glove" treatment, taking the stress out of the situation and handling every detail with care. Whether you are a first-time renter or a long-time property owner, you won't find better service across the Chicago north neighborhoods. I also want to give a huge shout-out to her AMAZING staff. They are the reason this is a worry-free business. Their communication is incredibly proactive; I never have to follow up because they are always the ones reaching out to me first. It is their dedication and attention to detail that truly sets this agency apart. On a personal note, Karen and her team are just so very kind. In stressful situations, such as when you need to file a claim, kindness combined with top-level communication is the best thing a person could ask for. Thank you, Karen, for your dedication and for your wonderful staff.
