Although on my first stay here I had a very small room in the attic, which was the original part of the hotl, the second tme I had an apartment with a balcony and fridge. The hotel bosts a sauna, solarium, tanning beds, exercise bikes and most of all an outdoor pool/pond with natural water, e.g. no chlorine it is literally like swimming in fresh water. Full internet access for the business traveller to boot. A must visit if you are in the area nad is well boasted about amongst the locals. For the small room with breakfast is was EUR40 per night and the larger room it was EUR60 per night. The owner and staff are all very accomodating, with a full english menu.

The mini-bar is filled with FREE drinks and the beds are very comfortable. The included breakfast is a large buffet with everything from delicious breakfast meats to pancakes, eggs and bacon. The only BIG downside is the parking. They do have a parking garage, but it is mostly lift-parking, which only works for cars under 1.45m height. They have some other spots, but they go quickly, which left us (with a small, but too high car) having to drive around, trying to find parking in an area that is mostly residential parking with a local permit or paid 2 hour limit parking (works over night since they on't charge then, but you can't pre-pay for the next day when they start charging at 8am). This is what keeps them for 5 stars, but otherwise it's a great hotel.

It was apparent that the owners take pride in their establishment the 8th generation to do so! Rooms- Clean and comfortable. Beds are nice and the pillows are of high quality. Shower has high pressure and bathroom looks newly remodeled. Mini-fridge, blow dryer, 32" flat screen and free Wi-Fi in the room make for a quiet and comfortable stay. Restaurant- Hans puts special effort into every dish. Turkey filet and spaghetti bolognaise are fantastic. Local food sources are evident: on-tap beer comes from the small family brewery across the street, same goes for the meat and bread. Hot breakfast and dinner make for a half-board package that is very satisfying and fresh. Facilities- Steam room and fitness area are modern and well equipped with treadmill, stationary bike, and weight rack they even have a kettle bell! Large media and entertainment room with pool table and home theater projector setup. Moderate parking in front of the hotel with a secondary parking lot one block's walk away. Close to a country running trail. Staff- Friendly and accommodating. I was glad to find an English speaking host that didn't mind if I practiced my Deutch with her!
