Played Feb 2026. Decent course. W I D E fairways. If you carry a single handicap you might be unchallenged. Though there are about 1 million sand traps on this track. Good turf. Slow putting greens. Golf carts are gasoline powered. Convenient location close to main highway. Staff are friendly and helpful. Drinks / snacks are not complimentary. Quality, value and enjoyment are not up there with the luxurious courses around Los Cabos, but the green fee is lower than the super premium courses. read more

Played Cabo Real Golf Course during our trip to Los Cabos and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The course is beautifully designed--cut through desert hills with incredible ocean views on several holes. The front nine climbs into the mountains with some dramatic elevation changes, and the back nine brings you down closer to the water with wide fairways and coastal breezes. Make sure to bring your camera out for hole 3 and 5. The layout is both challenging and fun, with a great mix of holes that test your accuracy without being punishing. Greens were in great shape, and the fairways were well maintained (looks like recent irrigation upgrades made a big difference). Staff was super friendly and helpful, and the pace of play was relaxed but steady. No big clubhouse or luxury extras, but carts had GPS and the views made up for any lack of frills. If you're golfing in Cabo and want a scenic, memorable round that blends desert and ocean, Cabo Real is a must-play. read more

The course has massive dead patches throughout. So even on the fairway you're hitting out of straw and dirt. Good greens and good view gets the 2stars. read more

It was a really nice course. Only complaint is that the water on the 18 whole was sewage.

Fairways dry and brown. Impossible to hit off of fairways. Bunkers are awful. Rental clubs terrible. Way too expensive for what you get. Stayed at the Hilton. Was still a 10 minute Uber to the course. No shuttle available from Hilton. Should have played somewhere else. Staff all very nice. Warm welcome to course. The course was beautiful but was such a poor experience. My husband and I were put in a 4 some with 2 people, one of whom had never EVER played golf before. I know that the pro shop knew he was a beginner because originally he was supposed to be a rider. We paid $200 each to play with a first time player. The round was very slow, and was stressful because I felt rushed trying to keep up with the group ahead of us ( we were behind already on hole 1) or rushed because the group behind was hitting up into us. I get that everybody has to start sometime in playing golf, but it was a very unpleasant round. The course should never put out new players paired with others. They should be instructed to keep up with the group ahead , and to pick up and place with other players to keep pace. I never felt relaxed, They talked while I was hitting, and even picked up my ball in the middle of the fairway. Course is great, but run very poorly. The manager was not even apologetic, in fact she said it was my fault. For a 8:10 AM tee time, she told me she gave me the option to go by ourselves at 8:50 AM. I have to wait 40 minutes??? She never gave me any options. Rude manager, rude woman. So many other courses to golf in Cabo, which is not cheap. Go somewhere else. read more

Came to Cabo, had a fabulous time at another golf course in San Jose ...we travel all over the world golfing. From hole 3 at Cabo Real the guy was telling us to hurry up. We let a twosome go around us as a courtesy and the Marshall got mad. Why should they have to wait for a foursome? The couple was thankful! When we got the golf shop to check in gal told us one of the golfers she couldn't golf or be there wearing a golf dress with spaghetti straps. We asked why because she wears it all the at golf courses, it's extremely hot in Mexico, and the golf shop girl said the "guy outside" would get really mad at her... told our friend she had to buy something. She figured out something she had her golf bag to put around her neck. Then we went out on the course two other women had exactly the same dress with spaghetti straps!! We were playing the course at a normal speed .. we stopped after hole nine to pick up some quick food which we ordered on the 8th hole. Again on hole 10 they told us to hurry up even told us no one was close behind.. we continued at a normal speed...Brochure says it takes 4 1/2 hours and we were right on that target. We finished at 4 hours and 18 minutes. Would have had a lovely time but the badgering was not normal. Ruined a good relaxing visit. Will be back to Cabo to play golf, but we will not come here. Otherwise...The staff was lovely! Just ruined a nice fun time with friends and experienced golfers. read more

Played on 11/8. The course was in very rough shape. Tons of brown spots throughout. Not sure if it was just baked out or they are having issues, but I played here in May a few years back and it was much more beautiful. One major beef was the rental clubs. If you plan to rent, consider bringing your own or maybe don't bother going. They were garbage. 4 generation old, beat to death Callaways. My wife's clubs were a joke. The grips were basically strings of rubber and 7 year old adhesive. Grips are $10 for really good ones. If you're going to charge $50/ round for rentals, maybe make sure the grips are more than a thin layer of mummified rubber that's half worn off. read more

Do not golf here. The bag boy stole my wedding ring from my golf bag. I put my wedding ring in a "Hide & Drink Leather Wedding Ring Case" which stays in a zipped up in my golf bag's watch compartment. At the end of my round the bag boy grabbed my bag, put the head covers on my clubs and took the bag to be loaded in our car. When we got ready to leave I noticed that the golf bag had been unzipped and the leather ring case was empty. He stole it! Thieves work here. I let Joel know; he has my phone number. My friend and I went back later that day to talk to Joel again; no ring. They have a security problem at Cabo Real. Do not golf here. The thief be damned. Fucker! They owe my $900! read more

Playing it now. It's a joke. Go spend your $$ elsewhere. We paid top dollar to play this course but they neglected to tell us only the back 9 was open. Tractors with dust and dirt on the 18th fairway major distraction. Had to play this crappy course twice. Spend the $$ and play at Puerto Los Cabos. One great thing was the food and staff except for the gal at the pro shop, unfriendly. We come to Mexico all the time to play golf, won't be back here anytime soon if at all!!! read more

Absolutely terrible experience. Course was in terrible condition with brown grass and trash everywhere. they sent out groups of 5. walked away at hole 13 (first time that I ever walked away mid round). We were on pace for about a 6-6.5 hour round. in addition, we rented clubs. they are callaways that were first designed in 2000, and it looked like the grips we're never changed. the club heads had no grooves, the handles were slippery and flew out of my hands once. the bags were shredded and torn, overall beyond what you imagine bad clubs to be. Meh. Not my favorite. Came here on our honeymoon. Pros: back nine is fun and challenging and has some wolf creek vibes to it. Greens are in great shape. Staff is very friendly. Cons: hotspots on the fairways. Beach sand lines the drop offs if you miss fairways which is too think to play from. Tourist markup doesn't reflect the quality. Rentals: Men's callaway apex forged iron set with XR Woods and odyssey 2ball putter. Summary: if this course was 80 per round instead of 150 it would be worth it. read more

We're not golfers, but were made most welcome by the wonderful team at Cabo Real Golf Club. With a nominal charge to use the driving range and practice putting green, they loaned the six of us all the clubs and putters we needed. A couple thousand balls were already laid out for us on the range. It's an absolutely gorgeous venue, and afterwards the 19th hole food, drink and views are delightful. His cool, witty, relaxing demeanor is exactly what you need if you're learning the game and can get easily frustrated. As such, Juan's greatest contribution was not just being meticulous in teaching stoke technique, but exuding a calm aura perfect for playing loose, relaxed golf. He also was nice & generous when our lesson ran a bit over time. The course itself is picturesque and the facilities are clean. I'd likely return if I were back in the area. read more

If you have the time for a golf lesson in Cabo, Juan Carlos Castellanos is a fantastic teacher. He's funny and patient and really helped me fix some fundamentals of my golf strokes. Beautiful course with challenging fairways and undulating greens. We bought a 2-course combo from Questro Golf. This was the first course we played. Great customer service - everyone is super helpful. We played the whites (we're around 15 handicaps) and they were fair. Even though the course doesn't have any out of bounds some holes have OB where you can't find/retrieve your ball. The course, like most in Cabo, are stunning with mountain and ocean views. Staff was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Course was in decent shape. Had some hot spots on the greens but the fairways were nice. Only one hole by the water which make for a good photo but most of the course is in the hills. You can get on for under $100 using the various discounts that are available through your resort or questro golf (they have multiple courses). Under $100 is a good price and worth your time and money. Not the most luxurious course on Los Cabos, but that speaks more to what some of the other courses offer, not anything this course lacks. read more

Was enjoying my morning of golf until the Ranger came over to scold us for playing too slow. I was playing in a foursome with other very good golfers. There was a foursome in front of us and a threesome behind us. We were moving at a good pace. The Ranger said we needed to pick it up, and that if we didnt move quicker he would make us skip a hole. When I am on vacation and playing a lot of money to golf, the last thing I would want to hear is hurry up. The conversation happened with the Ranger on the 7th hole. When we started on the 10th hole, we had to sit and wait. Other foursomes we spoke to were also frustrated with the Ranger and how they were asked to hurry up only to wait on the next hole.
