The sky pool is located at the very top of the resort. Not going to lie, the golf car ride up is pretty intense/steep. But once you get up there, the view is AMAZING! I've been here a few times before and can't get over how pretty the view is at the edge of the infinity pool. It was my friend's first time and so she and I went around 10am and to get a spot/chairs to lay out in. We snapped a few good shots, got a few drinks from the swim up bar and got some food as well. My friend loved their fried fish tacos and she said it was definitely a must try. Being vegan, I requested for a custom meal which they were happy to do! I got chips, guacamole, salsa and jalapeños to top it off. The drinks were ok, I felt like every time I ordered liquor they'd put tremendous amounts of ice. So I ended up just getting beers the entire time. I had to knock off a star because some group took my chair - literally removes my belongings and towel and took my chair while I was in the pool. When we called over the waiter in charge of our section, he said he wasn't aware. Hm, kind of hard to miss the fact that my stuff went from being on the chair to suddenly on the floor, and someone else's belongings were sprawled out. My issue was that my towel was missing. And well, in order to receive your towel card back then you need to return the towel. I voiced my concerns but my waiter was of no assistance. Needless to say, I took whoever's towel was on my chair and returned that. The situation could've been easily resolved if he offered to find the group and request they remove their belongings. I initially wanted to stay longer at the sky pool but the overall incident and lack of assistance made me want to leave. I ended up going to the pool at 41 and had a much better time!

This is the highest pool on the property, so you need to go to see the views from here at least. The water temp was too cool for me, but the elevated large hot tub was perfect! the infinity portion of the pool has a swim up bar and many were indulging while we were there. Bathrooms and showers are readily available. Plenty of lounge chairs all around and there was wait staff to get our drink and food orders quickly. They did last call for that service around 5 pm, which I thought was a little early, but you could still order from the bar so we were happy.

Get here early because chairs are first come, first serve. You can't put down a towel then go to breakfast. If you are a platinum member a server will give you a call button to order food or drinks. If your package includes premium liquor, make sure you specify the brand you want in your drink (Don Julio margarita or Belvedere bay breeze or Bacardi mango daiquiri).

Last minute when we found out about the sky pool in Pueblo Bonito at Sunset. This sky pool is open until 6pm only. You must go first to The Market at Sunset to have a ride because an uphill walk might not be a good idea. You can order food while enjoying the pool and full bar. read more
It's literally called the Sky Pool.. I mean, the beauty is in the name! Imagine this: An infinity pool with a swim up cabana styled bar, TVs, pumping dance music, lounge cabanas on the quiet side if you wish not to rally, and a full view of the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort in all its majestic wonder. For years and years my favorite hangout spot at this resort was, but of course, the Main Pool. All the activities were there, it's an infinity, there's a swim up bar, and ocean views - What more could you want? But then they raised the bar (quite literally) and built what is basically all the goodness of the Main Pool on an upper decker level. So now not only is there a swim up bar, infinity style waterfall pool, and all that, but there's full wrap around breathtaking views of the whole resort AND magnificent sunsets that will have you feeling all kinds of good things. The wait staff up here are always on the ball, checking in on you for more food, drinks, napkins, etc. The towel crew is kind and while it may take a while for them to look through those horribly long paper lists and cross you off, they do it with a smile and as quick as their eyes will allow them. The lounge chairs are sturdy and cozy, but I'd definitely recommend laying a towel down before getting your tan on. There's an even amount of sun chairs versus shaded chairs at this pool, but the pools have very little shade areas while you are in them so be warned on that. The jacuzzi at the Sky Pool is the highest visiting point at this resort, I believe. While warm, bubbly and spacious you may also enjoy the seclusion from the rest of the pool areas and gorgeous tropical views of the palms and ocean. I tend to retreat up here when the pool gets too rowdy or crowded and I need a break from the crowds. All in all, Sky Pool is definitely a must visit if you're staying at the Sunset Beach Resort and/or even if you're at one of the other hotels in town.. Hop in a shuttle and hangout here for a day, but make sure to stay for sunset because the photo op is something you won't want to miss out on. read more

Spent the day at the Sky Pool while staying at Pueblo Bonito Spa and Golf Resort. TIP: Reserve your pool lounge chair in the morning before it fills up. I put down two towels at 8:00a and most all of the upper sky pool was already spoken for. This was during full resort capacity, it might not be like this year round. Catch a ride in a golf cart as it is a steep walk. Of the seven pools, this is at the very top and is highly talked about amount the resort guests. Yesterday we spent the day at the main pool which is at the very bottom of the resort near the beach. Different experiences when compared. I hope you are able to enjoy this pool as much as we did. read more
First Alphonso is the man. And the Sky Pool is just so much fun. Way way up high with a killer view. I think it's the best pool here but could be just because it's the end of the trip. The 26/27 building pool is also great just a bit quieted and less people. I'd go fish tacos and tequila with lime. But in the end just do as Alphonso tells you. And talk to everyone because they will all have a story. Great spot! read more

Top 3 reasons we love the Sky Pool - spectacular views, great food and drinks; great service. The above-it-all views of the Pacific Ocean from an infinity pool are amazing -- this time we were fortunate to be able to watch a huge pod of grey whales migrating South, spouting spray into the air, all while sipping cocktails from a sun-warmed pool. Pretty fantastic. Second, gotta love the swim up palapa pool bar, which actually served up some really tasty food and drinks. Over the course of several days w/ 6 of us, we had the chance to try quite a few items. Our favorites: chicken quesadillas w/ guac, burritos, hamburgers, fish tacos, cobb salad, chicken Thai salad, shrimp cevice, fish cevice - all really good, fresh and made-to-order. Only couple items we didn't like as much were the pulled pork sandwich and club sandwich. Third, the fantastic servers who were super friendly and went out of their way to keep us fed, hydrated and happy - especially Zenon and David; gracias!! We were on the all-inclusive plan, but always tipped these guys for their exceptional, over-the-top service. Our favorites for light cocktails were vodka-press and Palomas (tequila & fresca); the kids equally loved scooting up to the bar for some mango and/or strawberry smoothies, chocolate shakes, shirley temples and chocolate ice cream. Our initial complaint was that the jacuzzi was too cold, but by day 3, this was remedied, and much appreciated with the cool ocean breezes. Also, had an issue of towel stand running out of towels, but again, we were patient (we spent most our time in the pool anyway) and this was remedied. More great memories at the Sky Pool. Hasta luego! read more

Beautiful view and outstanding pool for it size. Need to pay attention to detail. Restroom was dirty close to flirty. Music too loud making it un-relaxing atmosphere. One reason we didn't sign up. read more

The view is 360' of amazing. Great service and drinks. While it is a bit of a hike up the hill the views and atmosphere make it well worth the while. read more
