This is an odd store. Size-wise it is massive and you can wonder and look at items for hours, but never see an employee. To say staff is slim is an understatement. I saw a gentleman at the gun counter and 1 staffer at the check out, but that was it. When I found this Cabela's, I had noticed a dead kitty on the side of the road. This made me a very sad Jenn. I went past the crowd of Mennonites at the front door and asked the folks at the front if they could loan me a shovel or get someone from the grounds crew to move the kitty off to the culvert and off the roadway. Very sad. :( The store itself was very crowded and there were vendors offering demonstrations - some sort of hunting season was about to commence - but being an animal lover, I tried to get through that area as quickly as possible to camping. I could not believe how small their camping section was! Disappointed, the young men in the camping department pulled up inventory for the next Cabela's store on my route and confirmed that they did indeed have what I was seeking: a waterproof duffel for the back of my motorcycle. After the previous night's rainstorm - I was beginning to think that the single water proof stuff sack and using plastic bags inside stuff sacks would be an inadequate solution! As I left the store, I saw a young man on a golf cart heading over to the side of the road where the big black and white kitty lay dead. I went over and thanked him for helping out as he scooped up the kitty corpse and gave him a maritime funeral in the storm culvert full of high water and grass. I thought happy kitty thoughts in that cat's honor and hopped in my truck and headed east. This is a small but nice store. Staff was awesome and friendly! We came in just to kill a few hours and we ended up buying a bunch of stuff. Staff brought us to everything we asked about and were great at answering questions! Overall a fun way to spend a few hours. Just be sure to go into the store front and not their call center entrance. This is a great place for any outdoor enthusiasts!! read more

Too bad Cabela's doesn't make good on online orders. DO NOT TRUST their online inventory. I made an online purchase and after 3 weeks was informed it was out of stock. Crazy...considering this is Cabela's. I was re-directed all the way up to their Purchasing Supervisor that could only apologize about my refund. Too bad Cabela's doesn't make good on online orders. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Called to check on an order and I was met with very terrible communication. I was transferred many times without even being told which caused confusion and each person I was transferred to seemed annoyed by the fact I wanted an update on my order. Probably the last time I purchase anything from this store. I refuse to be treated like a pest after spending my money on their items. read more

This is there call center, but is also a full service store. Not as big & elaborate as the Sidney store, but still offer's a great experiance for the sportsman looking to spend a couple hour's of there day!! read more

I couldn't spend money at this Cabelas location if my life depended on it. The sales staff hasn't acknowledged me the last dozen or so times I've been in...most recently because they were going on their lunch break. The layout is terrible and the store needs to be updated. I always hope the customer service will be better but it never is. I've made my last half dozen or so big ticket purchases at other Cabelas locations where they actually want my business. read more

I went to the store specifically to buy a pair of boots. I waited for a few minutes with the boot in my hands and the shoe saleswoman came out. She looked right at me, acknowledged me with the boot in my hands and turned away and started cleaning. After she finally agreed to help me she stopped addressed another customer and proceeded to ignore me again. When she finally checked to see if she had the boots, she told me they were wide and probably wouldn't work, then turned to leave. I had to stop her so I could look at another pair of boots. I finally got the boots, but, damn, I know $130 isn't a lot of money, but I shouldn't have to beg to spend it. Pam, you made my experience at a store I previously loved horrible. I will not be returning. Online shopping at Amazon just became a much more pleasant experience. read more

I won't spend another dollar in the store. I walked in asked the sales guy to help me find a couple items. He said he is going to lunch, so he is unable to help me. Which was fine because he took me over to another sales rep. I ended up picking up a few things after the other sales associate helped me. Then I went to check out. I waited in one line and then when I got up to the front she "said sorry I have to go to lunch you will have to go to the other lane". I had 2 items. The other line had 3 or 4 people in line.I went up to the customer service place and the lady up there said "I'm just leaving to go to lunch I can't help you". There were two other lady's back there and both just looked over and then went back to doing what they were doing. As you can guess I didn't purchase an item. read more

Ordered a gun over the phone. When it came in 2 weeks late I went down to pick it up and buy a scope to have it mounted. It took 2.5 hours to have them mount and bore sight it. I sat 30 feet from the door where they went back to do the gun work. Just about the entire time I sat there waiting there was at least 2 to 3 employees standing there talking about things non work related. Finally went up and asked what was taking so long and they proceeded to tell me that they have been swamped and they were working on it. The gun department was surprisingly not very busy at all that day. One guy came in asked to have his bore sighted and it came back out the door 15 mins later while I still waited for mine and I was buying a completely new set up. I was going to spend a couple hundred more in add ons but not after that. I came home and will be buying them from someone online. Not to mention when I got home and starting shooting it, it was clearly not bore sighted at all. Love the gun but customer service was absolutly terrible. read more
