There was a minor issue once it was printed but working with Alison and Becky, it was resolved to my satisfaction. My laptop bookmarks are stuffed like dolmas with recipe links. So when there was a brochure in our hotel for a place that gave you a free cookbook just for stopping by, I decided it was a necessary stop to make on our trip down I-80. This place is so cool-- it's the store attached to the Morris Press plant, where they print cookbooks compiled by PTO's, churches, sports teams, and cults for organizational fundraisers all over the country. I found one made by a synagogue with a ton of Passover recipes and kugels, and took a free cookbook from Louisiana that had a recipe for barbecued alligator meat." Other highlights included Luetta's personal recipes gathered by her children, and one made by a group in Glenview, IL (so close to Highland Park, my hometown!) So unique, so unusual. Such a worthwhile break in the monotony of the amber waves of grain along the interstate.
