Spoken to the store bicycle tech on the possibility of swapping both the tires and inner tubes for my folding electric scooter. He said he could do it. Since my scooter was at home, I made a point to bring it in the following Friday. Had left the scooter over the entire weekend. I said it was no problem. The bike tech might be in Monday. Tuesday I came in the store. No Bike Techs today. Wednesday afternoon my scooter had not been serviced at all. The bike tech was in back of the store doing some other duties. He gave me a lame excuse why my scooter was not done. The word here is "Ghosting". Strongly recommend: Take your bike service elsewhere. Better yet, avoid patronizing Dicks (sic'). read more

Not impress with Dick's Sporting Goods store in Grand Island store. First went there looking for solar power weather radio they didn't have any. I check online to see they have it and it said it was in stock got there they didn't have nothing even the sales person didn't know where they were at. I found some shoe I really like and of course I went online to see they have them and it said they did and when I wasted gas and time going there and course they didn't have the shoe I wanted. The staff is very helpful! I love the variety of merchandise and the pricing and sales are always good. This is my favorite sporting goods store for purchasing gifts, items for myself and my hunting husband. The store is clean and well not over-crowded aisles like other sporting goods store. I also like Dick's Sporting Goods being socially responsible with regard to gun sales. Thank you, for adding to sporting goods shopping in Central Nebraska. read more

I am not usually one to post a review but think others need to beware of this company. I ordered a Women's Schwinn bike online and upon assembling the bike noticed that the seat post was missing. Contacted customer service right away and was told they would ship out a new bike right away. Next day received an email stating three options: keep as is for 20%off, return bike, or exchange in store. ( I bought the bike online because they didn't have it in store-nearest is over 50 miles away). Secondly, if you order a bike online and assemble it-Dick's policy is no returns or exchanges. None of these options was acceptable. Said so politely in response email and just wished to have a seat post sent to me. Almost a week goes by-no response. Dick's customer service had closed the case with no resolution. Then, I was told the burden of their mistake was on me to contact the vendor for a replacement part. I won't be purchasing anything from this company again. Buyers beware. read more

Went to Dick's to purchase a treadmill after researching online, and the local Dick's advertised $100 off regular price. Arrived at store to find Dick's had the treadmill priced $100 over the published MSRP. When I inquired, they said that they would either honor the published MSRP or the $100 offer off of the over inflated price. Nothing that I wouldn't expect from Dick's, and I purchased the treadmill at MSRP without their advertised $100 discount. Just informing all of Dick's marketing practices. The employees however were very friendly and helpful, can't hold them responsible for shady corporate practices. read more

I had been looking forward to the opening of Dick's Sporting Goods in Grand Island. They had sent me coupons in the mail and notified me of the grand opening. If I arrived before 0745, I would have a chance at a locker prize drawing. When I arrived @0720, and when they handed out the ticket to me they informed me that I was the 60th person in line. It was some 50 degrees out and a rather nice day. While I didn't win the Marmot locker prize, I was still interested in checking out the store. Upon entering they had a table of free Reebok Play Dry® T-Shirts for the first 100 people. When they asked, I told them my size, and was informed that they were out of that size. So I told him a larger size, out, smaller size, out, he then informed me that the shirts were only for the first 100 people. I was the 60th!! Later a girl informed me that they only had 25 for each size! I don't know about you, but I don't like being lied to. After returning home, I looked up the press release for the grand opening, on it is says that the first 100 people get a free t shirt, what happened to mine?? read more
