This particular play was virtually sold out and everyone enjoyed the antics of one of the actors who was characterizing a ghost jumping into the body of a human. Remember the movie "Ghost"? It was just like that scene with Whoppie Goldberg's experience with Patrick Swayze's ghost. It was a hoot and brilliantly done. The staff of the theatre were lovely and you can tell they enjoy interacting with the patrons. I highly recommend attending any event that comes to this event in the future. Once we entered the main theatre, we were told we could sit anywhere that was open so we sat towards the back. If you want to order more drinks or snacks during the show you can do it via the QR code right at your table. We liked the soft pretzels and the drinks were very tasty! The show itself was entertaining and we had plenty of laughs. It was a welcoming space and everyone we interacted with was so nice.

It was magical. There were no acrobatics - but instead, it became a game of light and shadow on church's ceilings and domes - and memories came alive, snow has fallen and stars blinked in the dark sky. Beautiful songs from all previous shows, in all different languages, made us sway and sings inside of our hearts. The performances were amazing. The acoustics of the church was really perfect for this. The choir and sound of pipe organ was outstanding. A whisper of the song escaped my lips when I recognized languages - Italian, Spanish, French, English... ~Standing ovation on the end~ Encore, encore!

I was in College and Phish was booming in popularity at this time. The Flynn is a small theatre and Phish was playing arenas by '97. At that show Ben & Jerry introduced the band and they opened up with a cover of 'Cinnamon Girl' by Neil Young. I remember listening to this taped show and dreaming about seeing them in this intimate setting. Other notables included Hood and Slave --- what a show! This 1930's "Wonder Theatre" was a state-of-the-art vaudeville and motion picture venue upon it's original inception. It seats 1,439 guests and they typically show concerts, shows and movies. It's right near the start of the public corridor of Church St. or a quick walk to Lake Champlain. Fast forward to 4/19/25. I'm in town for my son to tour UVM and without any prior knowledge I see that moe. is playing that evening at the Flynn-- what luck? Tix's for 2 were around $100. We arrived about 30 minutes before the show. The theatre has unique style -- not like the Capital but cool in it's own way. The staff were super and the crowd had the greatest vibe. There's a bar that has a few draught beers, canned stuff (including N/A options), wine and snacks. They allow said bevs and snacks in the theater. The venue was well looked after as well with beautiful ceiling decoration. The only downside was that they didn't have a coat check-in service to complete this remarkable evening.
