Ignore the photos of an open air market. It's gone! Well, they say it has moved across the street to the square, but the shop now called Cabana is nothing like the old Cabana, which was originally called Perspicasity. Shopping at Perspicasity was a highlight of my trips to the Florida panhandle, so much fun to be outdoors, right on the beach, and to move among the little booths, each with something different, and always an unexpected jewel. I never failed to find items I wouldn't see elsewhere. The new Cabana is just another clothing store. Might as well shop in a mall. read more

Very cute "open air village of shops" set just off the beach. It's mostly boho/floaty clothing and accessories that look great in a seaside setting. The prices are rather expensive for the quality. Still, it's a charming way to spend an hour browsing. read more

Open air market with the seaside style. Stumbled here like I usually do by exploring 30A randomly and got here near closing time (it was already pretty late). To my surprise and delight was invited in by the welcoming sales people as they noticed me just looking around the entrance, curtain immediately was opened; and had a good look at the clothing, accessories and shoes. They literally had everything here that anyone needs on their beach getaway. Booths coordinated by color and style, Havaianas flip flops, swimsuits, ect. Good idea imo to have simple comfortable clothes right in town, and across from the beach. Only drawback I'd say is that it can be pricier than other stores and can get really hot walking around there since it's not enclosed. Overall, convenient beach to street wear. read more

How much fun was our little experience at Perspicasity? Let's just say that I could have spend my whole vacation budget here. Not joking. It reminded me of an apparel market or bazaar that you would find in Los Angeles but with a more relaxed beachy vibe. Open air shopping near the beach is a fantastic way to spend a lazy afternoon especially when you have some many unique options laid out in front of you! You could find anything from handmade candle holders and jewelry to Toms shoes and designer dresses in a bazaar setting. The location in the heart of Seaside is near dining, bars, other shopping, and of course the beach. A must stop! read more

I will admit that I hate shopping. I'm an online buyer all the way--it's whah I have patience for. Shopping while on vacation is a chore. Window shopping is less overwhelming for me. So why do I love this outdoor bazaar so much? Probably because there's not much to do in the cute town of Seaside except for relax, beach, shop and eat. I had my fill of the rest so to kill some time (I'm a mom of three little kidlets so I can't believe I just used the phrase 'kill time') I walked through this outdoor market only to spot a basic white tshirts ice been searching high and low for. Which led to a small closet of other cute clothes with some very good designers. It's a nice setup and there's quite the selection. Most of the styles are aligned with a beach theme, but definitely some unique selections in there. I'll likely return tomorrow. read more

Cute, but somewhat overpriced and more than somewhat touristy. It's a nice place to walk around after lunch or with a coffee or something, but not necessarily to shop. If you're looking to purchase a gift, clothes, or a piece of art, you'd have better luck shopping back in the Shops of Ruskin, which is right past great southern and that gelato place. A lot of the shops back there carry items that are similar to perspicasity, but the prices are a bit better and the atmosphere seems more genuine. All in all, Perspicasity is a nice place (as most areas in Seaside are), but I've experienced better in the area. Also, I hate to be the spelling police, but their name is misspelled. An incredible shopping experience! An open air market right on the Gulf of Mexico that sells beach bohemian fashion and accessories. $10 bracelets that look more expensive are very appealing to everyone. I particularly love their great selection of linen pieces. If on vacation in Seaside or 30A, you must stop by this incredible bazaar! read more

Adorable clothes! Most were very flowy and looked very comfortable... Nice open air feel while shopping but most items are grossly overpriced... But what isn't in seaside?! I bought a cute maxi skirt for $44... Cheapest thing I found and the only thing that I thought could accommodate my growing belly (im 6 months pregnant). Terrible customer service. I arrived just as they were opening. The clerk was more worried about setting up than been nice to the paying customers. She was snippy to a lady that walked up then to me. Within about 5 minutes she was gone to get a new water for herself and the employees and the other 4 ladies opening were all more worried talking amongst themselves behind the counter. read more

I wish I could give it more than three stars, because I do have to say that I walked out of there with two pairs of amazing white linen pants. BUT, it definitely requires a fat wallet to spend some money here. The atmosphere of the shop was quite unique, so you can definitely walk through the bazaar-type outdoor store and browse through their clothes, jewelry, and other accessories. They have some of the most perfect beach outfits I have ever seen--beautiful, flowing tops and dresses of all colors. However, just know that you are going to pay a big price for what you pick up. Just like everywhere else along the 30A strip, especially Seaside, you will see some outrageous price tags. I wouldn't go there for a big shopping trip because you would only get about a quarter of what you could afford if you went to a mall or other shopping area, but I needed those white linen pants, and I found them here!! read more
