This time we had a beautiful, spacious suite for the 3 of us, with high ceilings, on the 4th floor (#60), with a view of the canal, although you have to look straight down, because you are right ON the canal. Breakfast is delicious; loved the fresh fruit, veggies, bread, lox and fresh squeezed orange juice. Perfect location for exploring, right near the Accademia vaporetto stop, and close walk to lots of wonderful restaurants and cafes. Can't wait to return!

If you are looking for the hangout with the tourists off San Marco's then this is not for you. If, however, you are looking for a quiet, fun, easy location, you will love it. This simple pension is great. I stayed there in a room with two beds that overlooked the garden of the Ca' Rezzonico museum. It is very close to a square that has a cafe and one restaurant, many other restaurants and a short walk to a large square with many restaurants. There is Grom Gelato across the canal from Leonardo. The owner is very friendly and helpful if you need guidance before booking. You need to pay in cash but the room has a safe so you can just drop it there when you arrive. He may be able to help you with Paypal or some other means as well but no Credit Cards. To get here, Use the ACTV boat 1 line. Take the Lido boat from the train/bus station at Tronchetto and the P. Le Roma line from San Marcos or other south. Get off at the Ca' Rezzonico stop and walk up past the museum, turn right across the canal, right again, and second left. You're there. Take the Alilaguna boat Arancia from the airport. Same stop. I recommend you try this if you are looking for quiet lodging in Venice. It's very convenient to San Marcos or wherever by ACTV boat. (you can get tickets for ACTV at the Academia station which is a quick walk from here). Breakfast is simple, self serve, but very good and plentiful. We really enjoyed the stay.

The large condo is the house that Riccardo grew up in, and it is very well kept, warm in the winter, and comfortable. Rick and his wife are very welcoming hosts. We arrived around 8 pm on a Sunday, and were helped with our bags and were given good pointers on where to go to eat. The room was very clean, warm and so antique-y. We stayed in the sister room, which is HUGE and your own bathroom is down the hall. The breakfast in the morning is very fresh, croissants, amazing yogurt, and coffee or tea. Rick spends time during breakfast talking to you and answering any questions you may have about your upcoming day's adventures. I would recommend this bed and breakfast to any of my friends visiting Venice!

We felt so spoiled in our beautiful room with our incredible view. It is away from the heavy tourist areas which makes it perfect for us. Our host gave us detailed directions and many suggestions for places to visit and restaurants to try. We had the best time and only wish we had been able to stay longer. I'm not sure why Ca' Bonvicini is listed as a cafe since it's a bed and breakfast. I hope this doesn't hinder people from finding it because it is a wonderful place.

The location can be a bit difficult to find when you first arrive in Venice, but makes up for this by the fact that it's set back from the main tourist trail yet still within a ten minute's walk from the Rialto bridge. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast is excellent. One of the rooms actually has its own private roof terrace, but others also have balconies and its wonderful to wake up in the morning and look out over pretty window boxes onto a real Venetian canal!

About a two minute walk from the Rialto Market and Grand Canal and minutes from many of the main sites, this was an ideal spot for us to begin our adventures in Venezia. We stayed in the Vivaldi room which was a top floor, almost attic type room. It was cozy and perfect for our stay. It had an attached bathroom (important to know this when booking a room in Italy) and our little section of the inn was very quiet. Our ceiling window opened to let in the cool breeze and ringing of church bells. Amazing. Breakfast was downstairs in a lovely dining room. Our server (his name escapes me) was so kind and by the second morning remembered how each of us took our coffee. He also came to let us into the B&B when we managed to lock ourselves out one evening, talk about customer service. Our host, Barbara, was incredibly helpful during our visit. She recommended restaurants, offered to call in reservations, mapped out our day-to-day activities and helped us check in to our online flight reservation. One word of caution...this inn is on the third floor with no lift so if you aren't a fan of stairs or are unable to climb them, I would suggest finding different accommodations. The room was beautifully decorated. It was quite large and pleasant especially by European standards. The hotel is well located for touring yet just enough out of the main areas where tourists congregate to be a little quieter and calmer. It is also located a fairly short distance from the dock where the water taxi will drop you or pick you up (60€ from the Venice train station and 100€ from the boat dock at the airport). One of the things to consider if you are carrying very much luggage is how many of those picturesque but steep little Venetian bridges there are between your arrival point and your hotel. There are none between the water taxi point and this hotel.

After reading TripAdvisor reviews, I decided on Legrenzi Rooms and I ended up loving the hotel and Mestre! Location: -It's about a 3 minute walk to the Carducci bus station and about 5 minutes to walk to the Mestre Central tram station where it will take you about 20 minutes to get to Venice. -There is also a grocery store called Simply about a 3 minute walk away where you can pick up water before heading to Venice. -Right outside of the hotel, there are 3 casual bars/eateries if you don't feel like walking. -Piazza Ferretto is the main square and it's about a 5 minute walk away where you will find lots of cafes and restaurants. The square itself is charming, clean, and safe! Rooms: -There are only 9 rooms in this small, yet modern B&B. Unlike other European hotels, I didn't feel cramped and there was actually room to put your luggage and hang up your clothes. The bathroom was clean and the rain shower felt great after a long day of walking around Venice. -There is a mini fridge in the room, so I was able to buy some goodies at the store and keep it in the room. -Wifi is free and I didn't have problems with the speed. Since it's the summer, there isn't a comforter on the bed, but they do have one stowed away if you need it (you won't). The AC was also strong, which was a welcome relief after a day of walking around hot Venice. It was also quiet and our room looked out onto the cute courtyard. Service: -The employees here are nice and helpful! They speak English and will help you with anything you need. -Breakfast is included and the breakfast spread was plentiful with fresh juices, natural yogurts, fruit, pastries, eggs, cheese, cold cuts, cereal, bread, tea, and cappuccino. The room was clean and unique with the loft bedroom. It is small but totally worth the price we paid. I would definitely recommend it to someone that doesn't need a fancy hotel with room service and want to save some money on their Italian getaway.

The room was clean and our towels and toiletries were all ready for us. The room does NOT have air conditioning, but with a fan and an open window, we were just fine. There is no private restroom. There are two restrooms that are to be shared by all clients. BREAKFAST The breakfast was very simple unfortunately. A few pre packaged croissants, toast and yogurt in the refrigerator. There was not much variety. You have to make your own coffee. What ever you use, you must return and clean yourself. WIFI The WIFI was free and strong the entire time. No problems here. STAFF We never met the owner and there was a very nice lady who came in at 9:00a. We had a language issue, but we worked it out just fine. The owner gave perfect direction as to how to enter and do things in the B&B RESTROOMS There are 2 very clean restrooms and they are to be shared by all the guests. We did not have any problems with waiting to use the restroom. TOURIST TAX There is a tourist tax that needs to be paid upon check out. Its $3 Euros per person per night. We stayed one night and we paid $6 Euros. Be aware of this. LUGGAGE STORING I was happy to hear that they allowed us to store our luggage behind the reception desk. They allowed us to come back at an agreed upon time to take our stuff. I was dreading pulling our luggage over every bridge. That was a wonderful and free service they offered. Overall, the stay was not too bad. My preference would be to have air conditioning and a private restroom, personally. I think that this hotel is a great budget hotel/B&B with all the basic necessities.
