Out of Country Review - Spain…read more
Had lunch at La Paz on Wednesday afternoon. A perfectly fine option when at the beach, but nothing warranting an independent visit.
Quality: The food was better than you may expect from a beachfront restaurant, but not something that needs to be experienced. The Grilled Octopus was okay, overwhelming in terms of oil. The Toasted Bread was one of the weakest we had during our visit. The Paella Valenciana had positive aspects, but got a little burnt, creating some unsatisfying bites. The Sangria was sweet, so be careful if you prefer a drier version.
Quantity: Large portion sizes.
Value: Decent prices.
Ambiance: La Paz is a seafood restaurant located on the boardwalk near the beach in Valencia. The setup is a bit deceptive as they keep several tables open near the front, only to lead you deeper into the restaurant saying the front ones are reserved. The view still exists inside, though much more obstructed than hoped for.
Crowd: The outdoor area was filled, inside empty.
Service: Friendly.
