If you are looking for Valencian craft beer (cerveza artesanal), this is the place. Tyris currently has two bars in town. The brewery is located in an industrial zone outside town, so this is their main tap room; The Market Craft Beer, around the corner, sells their beer as well as some other imports (check it out too, particularly on Mondays in the off season when On Tap is closed).
Tyris brews in a variety of styles and works to meet the needs of their multiple audiences, from the Spanish population they are slowly converting away from industrial beer, to the relatively new/small beer geek culture that wants access to all kinds of English, American, Belgian, and German styles, to expats/tourists used to craft and real ales but looking for something that says "Spain." Expect bottle/keg conditioning and an unfiltered, more rustic approach that incorporates some local ingredients. They care a lot about bringing up the beer scene in Spain and are still tinkering with recipes and new styles, so look for things to continue to grow and improve on this already solid foundation.
I haven't explored the food menu much, but the complete burger with bacon etc goes great with just about any fresh beer in my book. read more
